Perfect shokupan or brick toast
I've been looking for a bread pan that measures 5×5 inches on the INSIDE and this is it! So many other advertise as 8×5×4.5 but it's really a 7.5×4.5×4 on the inside when I received it. This results in smaller loaves. Although everyone in the comments have been saying they're making half loaves, this bread pan actually churns out the same amount of bread as the 8×5×4.5 (aka the 7.5×4.5×4). If you multiply them by volume, you'll see they are actually quite close so it makes sense. This square pan makes a much taller and wider loaf, which is what I look for when making Tamago Sando or brick toast. The longer/rectangular loaf pans makes serving size tricky. I usually have to end up doing a 3 slice sandwich to get the same serving size. As for how it bakes, it's great! I spray it with a light coating of PAM and it truly doesn't stick. My only gripe is the lid slides off TOO easily. So be careful when you take it out of the oven.

Perfect half loaf pan and high quality as well
I bought this bread pan after searching for a pan that would make a half of loaf of bread at a time. I liked the reviews so I decided to take a chance despite the high (to me) cost. It arrived on time packed in a sturdy and decorative box. It is constructed of non-stick coated, heavy gauge metal. It would take a lot to dent this pan. It is also constructed of folded sheet metal, not die formed, so that means that it has creases where wet dough or batter can get in to and be hard to clean out. Since I intend to only use it for bread and I habitually line my bread pan with parchment paper, this is not an issue for me. After rinsing it in hot water to remove manufacturing residues, I filled it with exactly half of the amount of bread dough that I normally use and baked a loaf. The results are shown in the photo. Interestingly, I used the same bake time as I use for a full loaf and it came out great. I did lower the bake temp from 450F to 425F, however, as a precaution since I HATE burned bread. Next time I think I will just go with 450F. Note, I kept the bread pan lid on until the last 5 minutes of the bake. Even though the bread rose to press on the bottom of the lid, the lid slid off easily. Since the lid was the only part of the pan not lined with parchment paper, I would say this proves that the non-stick lining works well. In summary, I would say this pan is pricey, IMO, but worth it if your lifestyle (or desires) requires only baking a half loaf at a time.

Love this product!
I make a lot of homemade artisan bread and this pan by far is perfect for my needs I haven't had any issues with the dough coming out of the bottom hole and my bread is nicely toasted on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The reason I like it so much is because it fits in some of my air fryer ovens and it also fits in my RV oven. The surface is definitely non-stick I love the removable lid for second rising. It's the perfect size for two people to have a nice sandwich loaf of bread. I love the design on the bread from the groove marks. I'll probably get another one just to have on hand so I can make two loaves at once.

Perfect for Japanese milk bread
I got this pan specifically to make my Japanese milk bread (🍞 shokupan) - and it might very well be my new favorite bread now. I'd say one loaf is good for 1 (maybe 2 people), thus going for a longer pan (or even getting two) might work better if you have a bigger team of sandwich lovers. The pan can produce a 5"x5"x5" loaf, which is usually cut into 10, 8, or 6 slices. Slices are great for Japanese furutsusando (whipped cream and fresh fruit sandwich), tamago sando (egg sandwich) and wide variety of hotto sando (hot sandwiches): kurabu sando (crab), bananapurin sando (banana pudding), hamueggu sando (ham and egg), kabochasarada sando (pumpkin & lettuce), etc. To complement the bread, I got a hot sando maker made of mesh for a toaster oven from Amazon Japan. The build is solid. The lid slides on/off freely, a bit loose vertically so watch how you take it out of the oven and don't get burned. The pan is non-stick, but I still butter the inside before baking, pretty much for the buttery flavor. I didn't wash it - simply wiped it clean with paper towels when still warm and stored in a bag with a crumpled paper towel tossed inside. All in all, it is great, but at $28, I find it pricey.

Perfect cube of bread!!!
EXCELLENT!! All the ecstatic reviews were RIGHT! I ordered another one on Prime Day. It’s just so darn cute to make a cube of bread. I started with a 9X4X4 Pullman —gateway pan for sure—got this and may need more than 2……OH—A half a recipe for my 9X4 works well with this 4x4.

High quality
This thing is super cool. Very well made. I've baked croissants and it is totally non-stick so far!

Fit in my home bakery
I prefer the square bread. I do not like the bottom hole on the home bakery bread. I have two of these. I also bought the bigger size pan but I usually use the small one. This pan fit in my home bakery. I use the home bakery to knead the dough in the original home bakery pan, put the dough in it, put back it in the home bakery, do the fermentation and bake 15 minutes. I use the stainless steel plate lifter to take the loaf pan out from the bakery. The bread volume ratio I use is 3.9. It takes 15 minutes to bake in my home bakery. My recipe is the bread flour139g, the yeast 1.4g, the skim milk 2.8g, the sugar 10.5g, the salt 2.6g, the water 93g, the butter 11g.

Two are better than one
Love this mini bread pan after 1 use. I got it mainly because I like to make different Keto breads and the normal sized loaf pans are too big. I also like to either make toast or BLT's and it just doesn't work well with your typical bread pan. This pan is perfect for my particular use. As you can see in the picture the bread came out a perfect square. This bread was made from almond flour and flax seed meal. It's perfect for making toast. The bread came out super easy but I did spray Olive oil in it before baking. Baking with the lid makes the bread perfectly square. I just might have to get another one. Update, I ordered another one of these bread pans because when I make my almond bread it goes so fast that it's more convenient to have two pans on hand than to bake one, wait an hour and bake the other one. The nonstick of these are amazing.
