It was great for my nephews 4th birthday celebration. FYI - soak it in water for a little bit when the little ones are doing it and it was easier for them to complete it.

fun activity to keep the kids busy for a while

My kids saw these in a MindWare catalog at Christmas time and each got a box for Christmas. One (age 8) got this Space versión and another (age 6) got the fairies. They have loved these more than I expected! So far hours of mostly independent work/discovery/play. They use Alexa to set a 3 minute timer (soak each egg before you start carving to soften the dirt). We also have each of them use a cookie sheet to help contain their dirt while they work. The kids might do a 2-4 eggs at a sitting and put them away again for another day. I love, and didn’t expect, that each egg comes sealed in a plastic bag with its own digging tool— could be a super fun activity for a kids birthday party or other activity! Very exciting. The extra dirt is very easy to wipe up with a wet rag. We have had the blue dirt get on clothes during excavation and it washed out no problem.

Could not find this in the store but what would you know it would be here on Amazon..this stuff is so much fun to play with..this was an excellent choice for the grandson ! He loved it!!

My 5 year old grandsons liked these. He was able to do them by himself. I would highly suggest using a throw away tin foil pan or thick box to break apart in. It does get messy.

My great grandsons can hardly wait to get started on these!!! The older one got the space rocks and the 5 yr old got the dinosaurs!!!

My son absolutely loves this dig kit! We have had many and this one was his favorite!
