Grade-A Chinese garbage
As you might have seen in other reviews, it outputs 5V on the data lines. So if you had planned to use this to flash a 3.3V package (as it's advertised for), be prepared to either risk burning it out or making some bodges on the board. The attached SOIC8 clip broke after 1 use. Replaced the SOIC8 clamp with one from Pomona (an American company) and it works fine. 2/5 stars because it does work outside of the above issues.

Bad Solder Joints
this works with modifications - the programmer is set to output 5v on data lines, it must be modified for 3.3v output. The 1.8v adaptor board didn't work for me, until I realized it had bad solder joints. After reworking the components this works as intended.

Think about it
Uuuhhh. Yea. …no. Just flat out no. No instructions. No notes. No software. Just a bag of chips and air…….. wast of cash

Last resort
I'm only giving this 3 stars because it did eventually save me from a bad situation, else it would only get 1 star. Only ordered it because it was the only programmer I could get delivered in one day. The USB port was crushed, a lot of pins were bent, and the 1.8V adapter was sporadically putting out 2.8V because of a bad solder joint. This programmer also needs a "mod" to get 3.3V on the communication pins. It will only work for 5V tolerant parts as-is unless using the 1.8V adapter (if it works). I don't suggest buying this unless you need something cheap and fast like I did, but go over it with a fine toothed comb before using it.

Works great, does what it needs to, only thing I would improve is the addition of instructions for downloading the software and the driver for the CH341A but a quick google search will sort that out.

Thinking of throwing your broken motherboard? Try this cheap gamble first. If it works its going to save you lots of money! After force shutting down my computer it would not boot or post. After troubleshooting I isolated the problem to be either the mobo or the cpu. I tried replacing the cmos, unplugging and plugging again. Nothing. So before buying a new mobo and/or cpu I tried this first instead. I reflashed the mobo, and bam! Computer boots. Worth every cent!

Works great, Used this to reprogram several Lenovo T460, T470, T480 and T490 EC Chips. The unit is simple and easy to use. The pin connectors are not as heat resilient so when you’re using your hot air station to solder the EC Chip onto the board be sure to mask it off with some tape or foil.
