For years the Gruhn's guide to Vintage guitar has been a great resource to collectors and sellers alike, Then they went and changed it's format in the latest edition. I feel this book has passed that book by as the go to resource for collectors and sellers alike. Listings are in alphabetical order based on brands and a different section for each type of instrument. Electric guitars, basses, acoustics and so on. It covers various types of instruments including mandolins and banjos which i also play. It also has photos of various instruments which the Gruhn book doesn't. This can help in identifying an instrument you may have. I highly recommend it.

One of the best, if not the best guides for determining the value of a vintage guitars, banjos, mandolin, and electric guitars. My only issue with the guide is on some of the import brands they really don't list some of the instrument values such as Alvarez banjos and other imports of different instruments. The only say that the company as been producing instruments for this amount of time. Example, is Epiphone MM-70 mandolin not even listed in the guide, and it was the company's most expensive mandolin at the time of production. I just wished that the guide would go into more depth with the imports and the different models produced. Other than that a great tool to use as a guide for selling or buying vintage or newer used instruments.

A good source of guitar prices and a survey of most of the guitars out there. Fun to see all the guitars and their relative value.

This book is a good reference tool that I've used for years. Prices are pretty accurate for the most part. A little on the high side of some guitars, a little low on others, but a good guide that I use for reference when buying and selling.

been getting this guide for 20 years or more. you can't beat it's accuracy and wealth of information.

This is kind of the "gold standard" for vintage guitar prices, but not perfect. I think it is still the best being published now though. Some models of guitars are not listed, but most are, unless they are very rare. The prices are well researched, but don't always jive with what vintage guitars are going for on Ebay. Since it is published once a year though, it is possible a vintage guitar will have a spike in price, sometimes because a famous player makes people scramble for a certain guitar. I'm sure after Jack White became popular, the price of his Airline went sky high. I don't think every price guide could be perfect though, since a near mint guitar with all the original paperwork could command a premium over the high listing.

Es ist gut weil es whnik konkurentz hat,sprich es ist das einzig mir Bekannte Werk was so umfangreich überhaupt einen Preis für gebrauchte Gitarren,Verstärker,Effekte,Banjos und Ukulelen nennt.Leider kann man diese Preise nicht eins zu eins für Europa nehmen,da es ja die Preisliste für America ist und garnicht den anspruch hat auch hier gültig zu sein.Denn wir die meisten von uns wissen ist eine Vintage Strat dort um einiges günstiger als hier,was ja logisch ist da hier noch Zoll,Zinsen,Einfuhr und Wegkosten dazu kommen.Aber immer hin ein guter Richtwert,wo man dann überlegen kann ob das angebliche Schnäppchen den wirklich eines ist.Dafür habe ich es auch schätzen gelehrnt und möchte es nicht mehr missen.

I riferimenti che vengono dati sono in line anche con il mercato Italiano (fatte le opportune conversioni di valuta). Molto utile la storia di ogni produttore, che consente di capire anche le variazioni di prezzo nel corso della produzione di uno strumento. Una ottima guida da tenere vicino al browser.

No solo por los,precios de referencia, como indica su título, sino por los consejos y definiciones de los estados en los que puedes encontrar las guitarras que tienen, algunas, muchoc años.

Je l'achète tous les ans. Une mine d'or pour les collectionneurs (et les autres). Ça donne une idée des prix aux USA mais c'est parfaitement applicable à l'Europe par extension.
