Pizza Peels

Used many times and it works really well. Strong enough and large enough to pick up a family size pizza. Like how the handle detaches for easier storage. Cleans easily and good quality.

Easy to clean and light weight, easy to store

The pizza slide doesn't fold up like pictured for storage. Because the intentional bump in the metal slide, the handle doesn't have a long enough screw to stay in place in the folded position. Metal tarnishes after first wash. Maybe there is a specific way or cleaner that wouldn't do this. Basically, it appears dirty when it's clean. Works great for its purpose. Not the most sturdy metal but great for the price.

Perfect! I got this because it seemed larger than the other options and it is the perfect size for my needs. It is very light weight and feels sturdy. Love the wood handle. Makes getting pizza in and out of the oven a breeze.

Bought the peel to go with my new steel, and it works a treat. (And necessary because unlike the old pizza stone, there is no lifting the steel out with the pizza on it). A little corn meal or semolina dusted on, dough that's not too sticky, and pizza zips onto the steel, and extracting the pizza is a snap when done. Huge improvement over the previous cookie-sheet method.

Can’t use straight out of the box. Several rough edges that a paper towel caught on and tore while drying after washing. Will have to file down smooth with a metal file first or the dough will more than likely catch and tear.

this says 14x16, it is only 14x14, the 2 inches they added are where the handle meets the plate, which if you look has a massive knob to undo the screw for the folding handle, so 14x14 useable space, as the 2 inches they've included are practically part of the handle so it might as well say 14xhowever long the whole thing is. corner to corner on the metal plate it is 14x14.

Have only used it once but can say it is as advertised and quality is reasonable - aluminum is not as slippery as wood for tipping/sliding it off onto the cooking surface, but the aluminum is lighter and not so unwieldy as wood (just spread a lot of semolina on the aluminum surface before you put the dough on to get it to slide off properly). Reversing handle is easy to use and makes it pretty easy to put away in a cupboard.

I’m using this primarily for baking artisan bread on a pizza stone. Works great!i’ll be trying pizza with it too, but haven’t yet. Some have an issue with the handle knob being a bit awkward. I can see that, but it’s not a big deal to me. If necessary, a simple wing nut would work easier. Also, at leat one reviewer said there was a problem with the blue protect ive platics being impossible to get off. I’ve no idea why that was so for him, but i’ve included a photo of mine.... i got the blue sheet off both back and front in less than a minute - it took longer to get my phone & pix taken - plus there was a white warning tag atop it stating it must be removed. Zero issue with that.
