Excellent for student use or vacation travel
This is a really nice unisex bag -- light weight, well made, and well organized with a fairly streamlined appearance, especially for the size. It's roomy enough to hold a lot of stuff but won't overwhelm a petite female frame. However, it has a chest strap that was a deal-breaker for me because I planned to use it mostly for business/commuting and prefer a more formal look for that purpose. Wouldn't have ordered it if I had seen the chest strap in the pics.Having said that, the pack is great for a more casual setting like campus or vacation travel. Can't see it in a boardroom or a buttoned-down law firm but still wouldn't completely rule it out for professional use. Just consider your specific needs/taste/corporate culture.

Is this backpack big enough?...
UPDATE: Measured my laptop, it is 16" when measured diagonally from corner to corner and it DOES fit...snugly.Let me start by saying that I wanted a smaller backpack instead of my 32L jansport because I tend to over-fill it and it causes me back trouble. I was very unsure as to whether this bag (20L) would work for me. I usually carry two textbooks, two notebooks (the paper ones not computer ones), pens, pencils, etc. It ALL fits in this bag. It fills it up nicely without it bulging. I also have a 15" HP laptop and it DOES FIT INSIDE but with bulging so I wouldn't recommend it. Anything smaller 14" or maybe even a thin 15" would fit no problem. For reference, if you have a backpack that has two main, large storage areas, think of this bag as the same but with only 1 main compartment. The shoulder straps and bag are padded and comfortable. Hope this help!

Comfy cute gray pack for the daily commute
This backpack has just enough pockets and spaces to keep all of your stuff organized. I wish it was just a teensy bit taller sometimes when trying to get a bunch of file folders in their. It's pretty comfortable to wear and it doesn't look awkwardly large on a woman. There are no rough spots or sharp edges that get caught on coats or clothing either. I feel like the chest strap is kind of pointless, but whatever. It's hard to tell in the photo, but the fabric is a true gray, but kind of looks like denim, and not twill.

Great medium size bag.
Very nice. I have a large Swiss Gear that I still think is the best made and versatile back pac ever. If they made a smaller one, I would have gone with it . Since they don't, I found this Dakine to be the size I was looking for. Its right in the middle, large enough to carry a few bolks, a medium size laptop or tablet, space for pens and stuff. And, it has a pouch for an mp3 or in my case, my charger pac. Water bottles on each side. The pack seems to be well enough made, strlng material and good zippers. I Give it a two thumbs up.

Super durable and long lasting.
Well I ordered this YEARS ago and it is STILL holding up! It’s in great shape and I use it whenever I am on military duty. It holds so much, my laptop and accessories, snacks and drinks, books and gear, etc. this backpack has been everywhere with me and if and when it ever wears out, I know I’ll be ordering the same exact one all over again!

Great backpack for the price
Bought this for general use. I bike to and from work about 25 minutes each day, it's worked well. I live in CA so waterproofing hasn't been much of an issue the last year, which is my biggest concern.Pros:ComfortableLaptop compartmentDurableLots of pockets (side pockets, back pockets, etc).Fits a lot without feeling bulkyCons:Not super waterproof

Great look but not so good quality
I love the look of the bag but the bag came in with several stitches undone. The undone stitches were nothing big but because of those slight problems this bag does not deserve five stars.

Really Nice Design
This was a gift for my boyfriend, he always carries a backpack to the gym and such. His backpack was pretty worn so I figured he could use a newer one. This is a really sleek design and the fabric pattern was a nice grey pinstripe on a black background. A pretty subtle design but it's nice. I'm really pleased with this purchase.

Quality rucksack with plenty of well-thought-out pockets.
Very good quality. Particularly like the padded laptop storage and the number of thoughtfully positioned pockets and sections. Easier than most rucksacks to carry by the built-in handle when you don't have it on your shoulders.

Good buy
A little bit bigger than I had thought but then I am not good at measurements or dimensions. Seems to be very well made and although I did not buy it to carry a lap top it would work well
