Outstanding build and quality of sound output! Best speakers I have ever had!
I have some pros and cons to share regarding my purchase of the PreSonus Eris E 4.5 BT Nearfield studio monitors with Bluetooth. The pros: These are fantastic sounding speakers! I realize that they are more expensive than many of the options out there but this is clearly an example of "you get what you pay for!" I've never had Computer Speakers in all the decades that I have had computers that sounded anywhere it's near as good as these do! In fact, I've had some good home stereo speakers and size for size I can't say that any of them sounded any better than these PreSonus Eris 4.5 BT! The workmanship and the quality of the studio professional grade speakers are outstanding! The cons: I found out that while PreSonus does sell some hardware like these speakers, by far and away they are much more invested and committed to their recording gear – especially their flagship audio recording software. If the product is like these speakers then I would say it's probably very good. However, as somebody who had just purchased a set of $184 speakers I had an extremely hard time registering these on their site I spent a lot of time trying to find my way around their website too register these new speakers. It's that, I had a very very hard time even creating an account on their website. I emailed their support email address and did get a response but it was a very slow and painful process to get the help I needed to finally get logged in with and create a free account and then after that to be able to actually submit the registration information for my speakers. Their web interface is clearly built for supporting their recording gear. You can find their store on the site and certainly buy a number of things beyond their recording gear but if you want to get support for it that's another story. I guess the fender guitar company bought PreSonus not too long ago and even though it was the Sonos company that should've been taken care of my issues with registering their speakers it was actually a guy from Fender (not even at the same location or probably not even the same time zone) that called me and was extremely courteous and patient in assisting me. And it was even after his normal business hours. That's what I call great customer service but I guess they've just got some training to do with their team that they acquisitioned over at pre-Sonos. Another thing that was rather troubling to me is that I saw something in there warranty information that shipped with the speakers that said the warranty. And that it does not start at the time of your purchase but rather at the time that the speaker show us having been the manufactured date. I ordered these in September 2025. Guess when the manufacturing date was on this particular pair of pre-Sonos speakers!? The year 2009! I guess I won't be getting any warning coverage on this pair of speakers. Wow! But having shared my cons I'll have to stay I'm still glad that I purchased them because the sound is so stellar. The quality is so fantastic on this pair of speakers that I would be shocked if I ever have a warranty claim anyway. If anything he follows the speakers to cause them to fail it would be something crazy like me knocking them off or a fire or a tornado or something but I don't think they're gonna fail on their own. I can recommend that you purchased them and I do think that you will be very happy with the quality as I am. However, just know that if pre-Sonos doesn't up their game on customer service you may have a very difficult time creating your account at their website and then registering your product… And hopefully yours was not manufactured in the year 2009 (census now 2025).

Great speakers with bad quality control?
These sound very detailed, accurate, and have good bass. I have been pro"Rich" sound is not lacking in these speakers, but it is not strong either, however, you shouldn't expect that in $230 per pair reference speakers. Rich sound is usually a product of heavily altered sound a manufacturer does, or what you get with much more money. It's not thin, but not "rich". These speakers are also far from "warm" sounding, but don't sound thin. These speakers sound very flat (compared to more consumer-style speakers life Echo or Homepod devices) except for the mid-spike that seems to be present. On a budget, these will be excellent for any crucial audio work, but keep in mind, there is a bit of a mid spike. Also make sure to get isolation pads under these, as the lower frequencies will vibrate whatever they are resting on easily. Try to make sure that the acoustics in the space you use these in is good as well. Why? Because on my desk, they sounded decent, but when moved to my kitchen, a space with much better acoustics, it felt like the sound jumped a hundred dollars in value. The only con with the sound quality is that, if used close to your ears (like on a desk), and used for extended periods of time, you might get a slight ear fatigue from the pointy mid-spike, so if you're going to be in that situations for hours per day, get speakers with a warmer sound. Once these were moved to my kitchen, the problem was no longer. As for this buzzing/hissing sound, I've only had these speaker for a few months and it is already a problem. At least it's not very loud, but it's been getting louder. Like a sort of white noise. I saw this frequently in reviews, and many reviews cite bad quality control. It's a shame, because these are incredible for the money. I thought it had to do with the stereo wire that comes with the pair to attach the two speakers, as I've always hated stereo wires, but the volume knob seems to do nothing to stop this, so clearly this is an internal issue. If you have music loud enough, you cannot hear this sound at all, but with a doctor telling me that I need earplugs on stage/at concerts, and that I need to listen to things quieter, this is a terrible problem to have. The warranty is short, so get this fixed fast enough (we might at some point, but if they just send us a new one, I doubt that will fix anything). These are the best reference speakers money can buy brand new at this price point, but you also pay in bad quality control. A buzzing sound that is apparent when not playing anything or volume is quiet is not acceptable. Should be five stars, but are only four because of this buzzing issue. And it can't be a grounding issue, because it's getting worse as we use the speakers more.

Incredible value, feature set and siund at a fantastic price
Comparably priced monitors with a fraction of the features don't hold a candle to these. My friend has a pair that does not have Bluetooth nor does it have as many inouts for nearly the same price. The bass response on these is incredible and overall sound quality seems almost as good as my friend's monitors. For the money these sound incrdible. The Bluetooth is not perfect as it sometimes doesn't connect, but that is the protocol and not this item. The fact that I can play sounds through these via Bluetooth, RCA in and 3.5mm in AT THE SAME TIME mand it still sounds great is something I have never seen before. I bet it plays all inputs at once, but I don't have anything with me yet to test the TRS inputs as I am moving and haven't brought all my equipment here yet. My only complaint, and its not even really valid, is that I can't control the main volume remotely, but I would pay an extra 50 dollars for just that feature given how great these aleady are for the price and the only reason I need this is because I lost one of my remotes. I honestly can't believe how good these are.

Amazing monitors for the price
I was in the market for some new monitors for my desk, and after a bunch of research, these ones really stood out to me. They are super affordable for the quality they deliver. I have used these for a few months now, mostly for editing video and playing music in my studio. SOUND: Really amazing sound while sitting at your desk. I will also use them for music for the entire room, but that's not really where they shine. They are extremely crisp and clear when sitting in front of them at a desk, which is what near field monitors are designed to do. When you back away from them and use them to fill a room, some of the fullness of the sound gets lost. BUILD QUALITY: These both look good, and are built well. They have a nice minimal aesthetic, and feel really sturdy and well built. BLUETOOTH: Works well, but mostly I tend to use them on a wired connection. No issues here. OVERALL: If you need some desk speakers, pick these up and you won't be disappointed. I would recommend these to anyone!

Phenomenal Studio Monitors for Music Lovers that do not want to give up Bluetooth
These studio monitors are fantastic. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing these and was debating for a long time whether bluetooth was worth it or to buy similarly priced studio monitors without bluetooth. I am glad that I stuck with the bluetooth. I use these primarily for listening to music in my room, which I know most people do not do. You do not need to be a content creator or producer to buy these. I mostly just listen to music with these, occasionally editing some videos for fun. Setup is super simple. They sound phenomenal and true. Prior to buying these, I had a Sony GTK-XB60. The XB60 is horrendous and cost more than these! The bass is deep but balanced on these. I mostly listen to Hip-Hop/Rap and EDM, and these speakers are perfect for that. The GTK-60 had way too much bass and drowned out the highs and mids. This is not a problem at all with these. These also are not obnoxiously large. They do not take up too much room, but do not be deceived. They are loud! Overall, I am extremely pleased with these. Again, anyone can buy these. Leave all the RGB behind and buy these over some party speakers. They are great for small to medium sized rooms. Bluetooth functions perfectly. They are loud. They sound phenomenal. I am pleased.
