Good Buy
This Gator Hide is “good stuff.” I painted two vanities with Dixie Belle products. The Gator Hide product imparts a water resistant finish on the doors and drawers. There’s an array of colors from which to choose. The Gator Hide goes on easily. It dries quickly, making it easy to apply multiple coats. I’m very pleased.

Durable
This product is the best top coat ever invented!! I use it with my chalk paint, but can be used with other paints. I apply it with the sponges, that are sold. And wow, beauitul and sheen, not shiny like polyurethane. And you can also paint over it, later if you want to change the color. The only downfall, for some, is you need to let it cure, for 30 days. Especially if using on outside furniture.

Great but may yellow in crevasses
I overall like the utility of this product as being waterproof. It was mostly easy to apply. However, it did yellow in the crevasses of the table. Admittedly I was working on a difficult piece to use this product on. It was a side table with a raised edge. As a result it was difficult to keep the product from pooling in the edges. As you can see these crevasses have yellowed. (no dark wax was used in this area).

I AM SO IMPRESSED!!!
I am impressed at how easy it is to apply this product. I used a spongy paint pad and it went on smoothly with no streaks. It's so nice not to use a brush and have brush marks or a roller and get that texture-y finish. I was a bit hesitant to start to apply the Gator Hide for fear of ruining my project. But I finally took the leap and it went so quickly that I used the whole 16 oz. jar in just a few hours, but alas I didn't have enough to complete the project. So I am back to order more and will order the 32 oz. size, since I found another project. If this stuff holds up as well as advertised and doesn't turn yellow, I certainly will continue to sing it's praises.
