Ghost-Hunting For Dummies

Being an enthusiast of all things Ghost Hunting, Paranormal theory, and former Taps affiliate (long, long ago) Keeper of the Stone Lion Inn/Crescent Hotel (my self given titles) I've logged/reviewed nearly as many hours and days on the hunt at those two locations as my day job. Nearly...I don't carry the professionals experience (not for lack of trying) but if you're of a similar background, like minded or just wondering what's to this ghost thing? You need this book! It feels like the golden age of ghost hunting finally gave way to digital and Ai. A world locked into our phones. The Ghost Hunting guide is a great reminder of what's still out there when you put the phone down, grab some pen and paper and just start with the basics. Including the history of where of we came from, there's a lot background and distinction from the days of seance tables, to how shows like Ghost Adventures brought us back into the light. Zak Bagans, what cannot be said about this guy? Love him or not so much, there's no denying his impact on the field. Particularly on keeping the Paranormal enjoyable for so many people, as those weary hours can get challenging for anyone. There was really something about the guy, his team, and their style of presentation that set the field apart. That's how the book reads, not just reference, its a lot of fun, reminders, and a fantastic start for those new to the field. In particular, Part 4 - The 10s, I had to start here. Any veteran will. Listing the 10s of most haunted, is your home haunted, etc. I always wanted to write one myself, and this is exactly how it's done. If you have any interest in Ghost Hunting, especially the long timers like me out there who didn't think we needed a how to, I can't recommend it enough. Thanks again Zak, and his GAC Crew.

Now I have all of the books from the crew. Very insightful and I never get bored reading it.

This book is actually very interesting and informative. I didn't have the highest hopes since it was written by Zak Bagelbites... but I enjoyed it! I also enjoy Ghost Adventures, and have been interested in learning more about the paranormal, and this guide introduces a lot, with the exception of how to speak slowly to try to build suspense. Now I can start my own show! ..once I buy some big glasses and dye all of my clothes black, anyway. If you want to learn more, buy the book! If you also like podcasts about this sort of thing, listen to ATWWD.

Say what you want about Zak, but I enjoyed the book. I enjoy the subject, in general, mostly just as an observer. I’m not in good health so couldn’t go ghost hunting myself but enjoy reading about the subject. Who knows, maybe someday?

A great book. Well written by a master of Paranormal research & investigations....Zak Bagens. I highly recommend this book to anyone who plans on getting into Paranormal Research/Ghost Hunting/Investigations. While I have been doing Paranormal Research for years, sat in on channeling sessions etc, I haven't really done a physical ghost investigation, I found this book to be a great refresher and a good resource for information on doing investigations.

A book For your beginnings of venturing in the world of your own ghost hunting. A must read before starting out on your own. Gives you the correct do’s and don’ts before causing any problems.

Wow I love this book. I am almost done reading it. To me, it is THE authoritative textbook on ghost hunting. No other book compares. It is soooooo well written and thoughtful and very very detailed. It must have taken a lot to write this book. I guarantee you will be no amateur when you are done reading it. This is for those who are serious about ghost hunting. I never knew there was so much to it. it is a dry read but it has this wit, boldness and a friendly tone too all through the tome. I am proud to have this on my bookshelf. I encourage you all to read it as you will learn tons of tricks on how to photograph spirits and the origins of Ouija boards. He left no stone unturned. Devo dire che questo libro affronta problemi che poche persone si pongono guardano ciò che hanno davanti agli occhi e non guardano oltre penso che sia un libro molto bello e profondo spiega le cose in modo approfondito e ti fa vedere le cose da un punto di vista diverso il che e' una buona cosa mi piace molto leggetelo dopo vedrete le cose in modo diverso guardandole con occhi diversi
