Atlantic Salmon Fillet

This salmon was freaking phenomenal!! Holy crap. I don't care if it's farm raised this is the best tasting salmon I've ever had in my entire life. Yes it does have a fishy smell BEFORE you cook it, cause well...it's a fish. It's super buttery and doesn't have any off-putting overly pronounced salmon flavor. The portion I received was a center cut and I was very pleased with my Whole Foods shopper, (they're not all great but I got really lucky this time). The filet is incredibly fresh and could easily be used as a sushi grade ingredient and again the buttery-ness was insanely good. I've never purchased salmon of this same quality from any other grocer. Take my money Whole Foods.

Very tasty and very fresh! A little pricey but better in quality and price than many other stores offer. I can't imagine going without my regular fix of this salmon!

The Atlantic Salmon Fillet was so fresh and absolutely beautiful! It was delivered in perfect condition, with great color and texture. Cooked up deliciously—tender, flavorful, and just what I was hoping for. Definitely ordering again!

Fresh and flavorful, crispy skin that has been descaled. Good amount of fat in the flesh. Very few if any bones. Worth the extra price.

This is incredible but many times when I’ve ordered this online they’ve given me tails. I now will only buy this in store. I think they should give the option of what cut you want online but I don’t like that they take advantage of people ordering online to offload tail cuts no one wants

I like this salmon and use it regularly any time I want a salmon dish. I realize it is farmed raised, but I do not like the wild sockeye salmon that Whole Foods sells (it tastes meal-y to me), so this is normally the best option. I had issues with it having a weird chemically smell when I ordered it from a specific Whole Foods location, but I changed the Whole Foods location I ordered it from and have not had an issue with this again. I do wish Whole Foods would sell Verlasso Salmon (my favorite salmon), but until they do I feel like this is a good option. I think it has a good fat/ meat ratio, and pleasant texture. A great way to cook it is put a little cajun seasoning on it (I use Tonys) and pan sear it on a non stick pan. I also bake it in the oven frequently and it cooks lovely in there as well. If you get this delivered just be warned that it seems like it is up to your shopper wether they give you a whole piece of salmon or smaller cuts of salmon. If this is an issue for you, I'm sure you can use the app whenever your shopping period starts and specify your preference.
