This is a big, solid personal protective safe that is easy to move around and carry. The keys included allow the safe to be opened easily and quickly. Without testing it completely for the fire and water safety characteristics I still believe fully that it will protect any valuables inside and it will serve my purposes very effectively. It was delivered on time and boxed and packed accordingly. It is a really good size and is able to hold a good bit of material

Great storage box and is a lot heavier than I expected. It seems very well constructed of heavy duty plastic and will hold several items. I originally bought to keep passports, birth certificates and other important papers in and keep them safe. The handle on the storage box makes it easy to just grab it and go in an emergency. The lock is adequate for the money and size. I hope to never find out about it being fireproof but trust the company name. Works great for us.

It's about 3 inches deeper than the same-brand one it replaced, and at least twice as heavy. If heavy is good, this safe is great. It's actually uncomfortable to carry, the handle needs padding. The inside is only a little larger than the old one, so more insulation. The main reason I replaced the old one is that it had no waterproof gasket.

I ordered this safe from Amazon resale. I liked the safe but key would not lock the safe. Had to send it back. I odred another one but different. The first one was too heavy for me, but should really protect valuables.

This is a tough, well-built safe. The cylindrical keys make lock-picking more challenging. For things you might otherwise use a safe deposit box at your bank (for a fee), this is the way to go. I would recommend this to anyone with such a need. The carrying handle seems a little less than the safe should have, but I don't intend to be carrying it around. It is heavy too.

I have used the prior version of this SentrySafe product for over 5 years. It recently occurred to me that it could be a big mistake to store explosive or flammable items, such as ammunition, in the same safe with my important papers and irreplaceable personal mementos. Which demonstrates that even test-documented intelligence does not rule out coexisting stupidity in the same person. Like when an online columnist and sportsman advised storing bags of silica gel desiccant in the same airtight container with bullets, to control humidity. He added it is necessary to bake them at a low oven temperature from time to time to remove moisture. I typed the following comment: "What temperature do you bake the bullets at?" He replied, "NO, NO YOU IDIOT! I MEANT BAKE THE DESICCANT BAGS, NOT THE BULLETS !!!" Well, I'm glad I asked, even though his answer was in all caps. I prefer experts who begin each answer by saying, "That's a very good question, I'm glad you asked it...." Anyway, this safe seems to be the same sturdy and reliable product that its predecessor was, except for the addition of a swing-out carrying handle, which is a very useful idea, except I have a feeling the carry handle might break, because it sure bends a lot under the weight of the safe. I may be wrong. I'll update this review if it does break. The interior of the safe is plenty spacious enough to hold a stack of important papers, or a revolver and ammo for target practice. Again, you should buy two separate safes if you need to store both. The locked safe must be safely locked in the trunk of your car on the way to the target range or the hunting lodge, assuming you have the proper licenses. If you have any questions, check with the authorities first - remember, no matter what anyone says, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A STUPID QUESTION.

Just bought this strongbox. It is as described and appears to be very sturdy. The space inside suffices to store several back up drives and letter size documents. No complaints so far.

I really am happy with this purchase. It keeps my important papers and documents safe and it is small enough for me to put in the bottom of my bedroom closet. Just pull it out when I need to access it. Sentry is a good trusted brand and it gives me piece of mind.

Ideal for home storage of documents etc. Sturdy. We opted for the key opening version as opposed to the number lock. Less chance of forgetting code that way!
