Not ready for prime time...
On the surface, it appears to be a match for the more mature Eye-Fi SD wifi card, but in reality, it worked for about 10 minutes then the wireless quit... It got very hot. I decided to return it for a refund.

Met Expectations
I initially purchased the Flucard because Pentax selected Trek to make the wireless card for the new K3 camera body. Since purchasing the card I have successfully used it in the following cameras: Nikon L18, Nikon AW100, Nikon AW110, Pentax K20d, Pentax K7 and now a Pentax K3. I have only tested the shoot and view and download functions since that is what I bought it for so I cannot comment on the functions for uploading to a server or camera to camera transfer.I would say that use of these cards is not for the faint of heart! The instructions are basically pictures. When you start up the card, you actually delete the picture associated with the function you want to activate (it reappears after you shut down and restart the camera). Shoot and view works well with jpg files but the view portion does not seem to work with RAW files. The RAW files do transfer but I have not been able to view them on the phone or ipad. This could be due to lack of the appropriate driver on my phone or ipad though. Large RAW files are much slower to transfer anyway so I shoot jpg + RAW and view the jpg files which works well. The file download function seems to work well for all file types. I have no experience with other wireless SD cards so I cannot compare ease of use. These cards seem to do what they are designed to do but may require a willingness to work out the new technology issues. After working with the card for a couple of months, I purchased a second card for my daughter to use in her Nikon AW100. She has had no problems so far with the card. Neither of us have experienced any overheating problems at this time. One critical point is that you need to inhibit your camera's auto shutoff feature. The card gets it's power from the camera and will stop transmitting and lose it's connection to your remote device if the camera powers down. The card will decrease battery life since it is a transmitter. Overall, it is a very useable product once you get past the minimal instructions.

Nice idea but does't work
I order this with a high end camera Pentax K3. Worked once and then would not recognize the flu card at all. Nice idea but doesn't work.

This is not the Flucard designed for the Pentax K-3.
PROCEED WITH CARE: The Trek Flucard which appears in the product illustration (Orange type on white background) does not appear to be the one they designed for the Pentax K-3, enabling control and live-view via LAN on a tablet or smartphone. This version may have limited functionality with the Pentax but should not be confused with the version produced specifically for the K-3, which has "PENTAX" and O-FC1 clearly written on it (with black type on a white background), and has received excellent reviews elsewhere. NOTE: The Flucard is not designed to connect to a home/office WiFi network (e.g. to your laptop), only to compatible devices, which may explain the frustration of at least one previous reviewer.
