What a nice shop/Mechanics seat! i have had several shop seats in the past. actually had one just like this one that i got from Sears 30 years ago. it was either lost or stolen a few years ago. Pros - USA Made in Delaware, Ohio! super sturdy (not seated on a single post), very difficult to tip over, well made, comfortable seat, very easy assemble (5 minutes tops) Cons - none as far as everything mentioned above. however, i did add flat washers with the supplied bolts for the seat. i feel it makes a huge difference when assembling and for the long haul for wear and tear on the tubing. especially for larger men. thank you Whiteside for a great product!

I bought this chair for my wife to use in the house for activities that would normally require squatting, kneeling, or otherwise bending over to reach anything lower to the ground. Back related and knee related injuries and surgeries pretty much made this a necessity. This product is built to last. it’s not junk that you might find at a cheap tool shop. I sight the sortie of creeper products that exist, as poor excuses for comfort and quality. Most are made of some kind of artificial leather stretched over a chunk of “please don’t let it rain wood”, as my grandpa used to call it. Not this chair. this will be around for longer than we probably will! i’m sure it’ll survive a few estate sales! if you need a good long lasting and comfortable chair, this should work just fine.

You truly get what you pay for with this chair. Excellent quality and construction and i think it's reasonably priced too.

First off, you don’t get the seat pictured, it’s different in appearance and the padding, I own an older version. That aside this is a very well made chair, durable, heavy duty. It rolls around easily and can take whatever you dish out. It also has the shelf underneath for tools. I have a bad back so I need some help working on low projects and this chair is perfect. You can glide all over the place without any issues. I couldn’t get by without this chair. I’ve tried other rolling chairs but this one is the clear winner. A little assembly is needed, but it’s an easy one. Again I coulda’t get by without it, and very happy with the purchase.

I really only use this a few times a month when either detailing or working on the vehicles. I previously had a post chair from HF which I bought many years ago. The mounting plate finally broke and wasn't easy to repair (I do not have a welder) so got this. I really like there is a much more stable setup rather than a single post to break. The chair went together easy and I did not notice the forward lean as shown in the picture/others have noted. The chair is of good quality but for this price point I would have expected better casters - something rubber rather than plastic. Sure they can be upgraded, but at this price I would have expected rubber casters to be included. Also the seat surround does not seem to fit as tightly as my old HF chair. As others have noted, the seat has the nuts/threads welded in it so if any problems you do not have a lot of options for repair. Hopefully it will not be an issue. That said, it is nice to roll around and not worry about tipping over like with the old post chair - very stable. Though I did save the old seat just in case this one fails. Also I find this seat comfortable and the height is perfect for working on the car - though that is dictated by your height I suppose. On a side note, I had to wrap a large pallet with plastic wrap and realized I could use the chair to spin around it while holding the plastic - worked awesome!

We were in TJMaxx looking for small stools that our teachers could sit on while working with toddlers in the children’s centers and saw two of these. They rolled fantastically and were the perfect height to alleviate back/bending issues. When we took them up to pay for them they told us they weren’t for sale because they were actually used by the employees for low stocking. So I took a picture and found them here. They are seriously amazing, sturdy, smooth…I could go on and on. We replaced all of our sitting stools with these and then our facilities department wanted them too. Definitely helped in the up/down/move stool repetition.

First of all, I want to say, my Snap On scooter chair was an awesome little chair and I decided to get rid of it because I was moving and getting out of mechanic work(sold for $20). Boy what a mistake that was! When my husband wanted me to paint his car I knew I needed another but didn’t realize how expensive they got. Started looking online and this was just like my Snap On chair without the name. When I received this chair, I was impressed by how heavy duty it was. It felt much more stable and even a little wider than the other chair. In essence, it is better than Snap On! It is heavier, but that tells me it is more sturdy too. It feels a little wider. My knees have gotten really bad so this awesome chair is perfect for scooting around and then hopping up so it is a little more versatile. Some angles are not knee friendly when getting up and luckily this chair doesn’t hit the bad spot. I love my new chair, and thank God I saved a lot of money on replacing my former one.
