Better than any gum
I had to write a review on this due to so many negative feedback from others. If you want chemical, plastic-y gum to chew on, really shouldn't be looking at mastic gym anyway. This stuff is like crystallized hard sap that gets soft with the warmth of your mouth and chewing, however the gum is still tougher than regular store-bought gum (hence why many use it to work out their jaws). The initial taste is a strong and earthy, for about a minute. After that, it's a very subtle flavor resembling the initial taste. I personally really enjoy the very natural flavor. This gum can be used and reused for several days, on and off throughout the day. My kids also love it, which is great because it's good for the gut and strengthens their jaws. You only need two or three small pieces for a nice sized piece of gum to chew on. Will definitely keep buying this gum.

Buyer Beware: Disappointing and Unpleasant Product
I was very disappointed with this product. It’s marketed as gum, but it’s more like a soft, sticky, tasteless substance that clings to your teeth in an unbearable way—worse than eating Cheetos! They tell you to spit it out when you're done but how? I had to pull it out of my teeth with my fingers then brush my teeth, then buy a new toothbrush because it's stuck all over it. Perhaps this is a product that needs a bit more refining before selling.

I'll write a legitimate review for this product
I'll write a legitimate review here, because this is quite a cool product, and I quite enjoy its use. I learned from other reviewers that this product is sap from a tree which is grown in Greece. And that this sap is covered in sand is a testament to its traditional technique of collection--the sap drips from the tree onto the sand, and then the sap is collected from the sand. It feels historic and unique and natural to me, which I enjoy a lot. The first thing I did was popped about 3 pieces in my mouth, it was making a nice gum in my mouth as I moved it around, but it seemed a bit foamy, it didn't seem right. Ah--on the package it says to rinse each drop with water before using. Next I tried just two pieces--being conservative. With this amount, it didn't make as good of a gum in my mouth, but it was okay. I actually laid down and stopped chewing the gum for a while--this was a real mistake. The gum became hard again, and it was all broken up into many tiny pieces. After a while, I realized my tongue and mouth felt like they have many tiny cuts in them. Sure enough, those tiny pieces must be very sharp when they harden in this way, because my tongue and mouth were totally cut up. It took about 2-3 days to heal. This of course was annoying, but anyway I got some insight into what's going on in my mouth because of the pain from every movement. Next, I decided 4-5 pieces would be ideal, and it is. This quickly creates a good gum from the hard pieces, and I can chew it to good effect. Good flavor, and a good feeling in your digestive system. I saw that this gum does not "go bad", so I kept it inside of a folded notecard and chewed it for a while everyday. Then, it became a bit brown-colored, and I got 4-5 new pieces. Now, I am sure to spread the gum out in my mouth, and I actually use my bedroom fan to dry the gum off well, then stick it in my notecard. I also floss and brush my teeth before I chew the mastic gum. This surely greatly helps to reduce any bacteria-attracting content from being on the gum while I keep it in my folded notecard. Now--about the chewing. WARNING: The "TMJ" is known to be "the most complicated joint in the body". Not only complicated, it is delicate. And it is a very important part of your face. You don't want to be foolish or forceful when it comes to the act of chewing a tough gum to try to gain muscle, coordination, and better alignment in your teeth, mandible/maxilla, face, etc. Now, I don't really waste much time just chewing casually. I look in the mirror. Analyze my bite to see what I want to try to improve. Then I chew in the mirror, lightly editing my jaw movements, etc. to improve my bite overtime. If I were to do anything too forceful, I would feel a sharp pain in my TMJ from things being too out of alignment. There are a lot of muscles in your face, and there are many which are involved in a basic chewing motion. It is of course quite fascinating. I've found medical resources and 3D models to be the most efficient way to learn about anatomy. Before--when I was just casually chewing for an hour or so everyday, my right-side chewing muscles became so sore in a way that made me decide to not chew the gum again until it felt totally healed. Surely this would occur because of of alignment issues and muscle weakness, so I think it is the best choice for me, to stick to brief and intentional sections of challenging chewing to encourage my face to grow in better and stronger alignment. I appreciate this product. Cheers!

From a "replacement chewing gum" perspective
I stopped chewing conventional gum when I found out what it was made of and realized literal tons of it were just piling up every year, going nowhere. But I miss it. So on the recommendation of professor Google, I tried this stuff. It's supposed to be good for you or something. The packaging is awful. You will need to get a re-closeable sandwich baggy to put it in once you get it out of the shredded plastic it came in. Unfortunately, you will then have a baggy of what looks a lot like crystal meth (based on my experience watching Breaking Bad). I will not be carrying this outside of my house for any reason. Taste is what you might expect. Mild and piney. There's a weird astringent taste as well, which I'm told is like turpentine. Having never tasted turpentine, I wouldn't know. When you first bite in, it shatters. A few chews later, it polymerizes into a familiar, stiff, gum-like substance. It will be tougher than you're probably used to, but still very chewable. Interestingly, it feels warmer in the mouth that conventional gum. Not sure if it retains heat better, or it's an exothermic reaction. If it weren't for the risk of being arrested for drug possession, I may have considered another purchase. But given that, and the price for what you get, I'll try something else.

Great Mastiha Gum, But Watch for Sticky Pieces
This Chios Mastiha Tears Gum is high quality and a pleasure to chew. The natural resin from Chios, Greece, offers a unique, refreshing flavor and a satisfyingly crunchy texture when you start chewing. Its compact packaging makes it great for on-the-go use, and the gum’s reputation for health benefits, like aiding oral and gut health, adds to its appeal. The only small issue is that some pieces aren’t fully hardened. These squishy bits are chewy from the start and stick badly to your teeth, which is unpleasant and can ruin the experience. In the three-plus bags I’ve used, these pieces are rare, but I stay cautious because they’re a hassle when they show up. Overall, it’s a great product with a minor flaw. I’d recommend it for its quality and unique chew, just watch out for those occasional sticky pieces.

Good brand of mastic gum
This mastic gum has been fine. I keep the bag in the fridge. The pieces get hard when kept in the fridge, but once I start chewing on one it softens up quickly and is fine to chew. I only need a very small piece at a time, so, even though the bag is small, I think the amount given will last several weeks.

Take 4-5 pieces, place them in a strainer.. Rinse well under cold water then chew. Don't attempt chewing unless you rinse them.. They will stick on your teeth!! I'm using this for jawline and it's way better than the popular gums that are full of chemicals. The flavor is mild and pleasant

It is nut the gum that I was looking for. Too expensive and not worth it at all.

Dust flakes came out when I opened the package, and each piece was so hard and brittle that it breaks immediately as I bit on it. They taste bitter and get stuck in your teeth like biting into a hard lollipop, These are definitely expired or not kept in the right environment.

This mastic Gum does remove hearburn or acid reflux for me anyway. The only downside is it sticks to teeth like crazy. But product does the work it says it will do.
