This fire pit is the best!
I love this fire pit. We purchased it to take with us when camping in our RV because some campgrounds don't allow open wood burning fires. Also, it is so much more convenient because you don't have to purchase wood to burn or take the wood with you, as some places also don't allow you to bring in your own wood for burning. This fire pit just makes life so much easier and convenient. You don't have to put anything together, as it is ready to go right out of the box. All you need is a propane tank and you hook it up and turn it on and with the electronic ignition it lights right up with the push of a button. The heat output on this little fire pit is amazing. I even had to move my chair back because it puts out a lot of heat, which is a good thing if the weather is cool and you need the heat. My husband likes to stand up next to it and warm his backside and his hands. I am hot natured so I prefer to sit back away from it to avoid the heat, but I can still enjoy the fire perfectly from a few feet away. It has a great flame and looks good too. This fire pit is very well built and has a top to keep the lava rocks from falling out of it, and the top has a strap on it to keep it in place which is great for traveling. We have an RV and keep it stored in the basement of the RV so we also purchased the cover to use with it and it is a great cover that you can sit the fire pit down inside of the cover and zip it closed so it protects the fire pit from getting any scratches on it when traveling and keeps in all contained along with the gas hose too. We also purchased a nice cover for the propane gas tank that has a table top built into it and you can hook up the propane tank to the fire pit with the cover on the propane tank. The cover for the propane tank and the cover for the fire pit do not come with the fire pit, you have to purchase these separately, but for us it was worth the added expense to purchase these covers. I highly recommend this fire pit! We love ours and so glad we purchased it

So much better than a woodburning firepit or solo stove. No smoke. No smell. No mess.
I bought this firepit at the beginning of the summer to use on our new patio. It has been so great! I absolutely love it. No mess. No smoke. No smell. No worry about hot coals starting unwanted fires. We are still using the propane tank that we started with; I would have never guessed it would last so long. The long fuel hose is great -- the propane tank can be off out of the way and out of sight. So easy to just click to light it, and instant off. No dousing or worrying about starting a wildfire. Easy to move, cover, and store. Puts off a fair amount of heat. Works great for s'mores. I can't recommend this enough.

Great quality and value, supports natural gas conversion with matching kit
Surprised by the weight and build quality of this, especially given the price I got it for (~$100). The steel is substantial and all the parts are heavy duty and feels like it will last. My order for this firepit had two components, the firepit itself off Amazon and the Natural Gas Kit 785 straight from the manufacturer. There was a minor hiccup where the adapter kit contained the wrong valve, but once I emailed them I got an immediate response and the right valve was in the mail the next day. Installation instructions were clear and the conversion took about 15 minutes. So definitely great value, plenty of warmth, love the portability and flexibility, and extremely impressed by the customer service. Another bonus is that even after an hour of usage, the deck under the fire bowl was cool to the touch, so no risk of burning underneath. Would definitely consider this brand first when looking at future outdoor heating solutions.

Great replacement for too big firepit
We had a very nice propane firepit that we used on our camping trips with our 5th wheel however when we jumped to the motorhome suddenly there wasn't adequate space to haul it. Thus the quest to find a replacement which resulted in purchasing the Outland Firebowl 870. Tried it out at home before Memorial Weekend camping and honestly was afraid that it was large enough. BUT in use at the campground for ambience and to make the required so'mores it worked like a charm! 4 campers at a time for roasting with plenty of space. It also put out a lot of heat. Best of all, it was pleasant to sit around while we visited. Right now it looks attractive and seems to be well-made of long lasting materials but it is too early to really know. The one point of surprise is to keep it out of the rain which means that we can't leave it out while camping and it remained rather hot after use so what to do? Our old firepit and this one both have pizo-electric starter however the old one we were able to leave out when needed. So if you were hoping to set up and leave this one sitting out while using for a week-end stay this could be a concern. One last comment: We purchased the storage bag as well so that storing in our motorhome bin wouldn't get messy. This firepit fits well in our storage area and now can easily take our own "camp fire" with us.

Great Fire Bowl!
We purchased this fire bowl to take on vacation or to the mountains. Much easier than finding firewood and then having to extinguish the fire. Simply turn on, then turn off when you are done! Set-up was very easy...put the lava rocks in the bowl, connect the hose to your propane tank, and light it up. We used it over the Memorial Day weekend for 3 nights, burning at half power for about 4 hours per night on a single tank of propane. Burning on high would use it faster. We had it set-up on a covered porch, and it didn’t get hot underneath (no burning the deck) and the heat above did not get the ceiling hot either. It threw enough heat at half power to take the chill off the air around us, but it’s not going to throw the heat of a real campfire. The flames added a nice ambience and made for some relaxing evenings. The best part was when we wanted to head in, we simply shut it off, turned off the propane tank, and went inside. The fire bowl comes with a metal cover and carrying straps. We did purchase a separate cover to store and transport it, which makes things a lot easier. Overall, very happy with our purchase and can’t wait to use it again.

Purchased this to take with us in our RV to use while we camp. Wasn't sure if it'd be a good replacement for a real campfire or not. We are absolutely impressed and probably won't actually have real campfires anymore now that we've found this. We organized the rocks randomly, and it seemed to create an evenly spread flame. For the first few minutes, the flame isn't very big and doesn't produce much heat; however, it spreads to a very large flame very quickly and the heat is actually quite impressive, even on the medium setting. It really creates a large campfire-esque flame with a lot of radiant heat that keeps you warm even on super chilly nights. It's absolutely worth every penny and a great addition to any camping trip! Super impressed.

The outdoor portable fire pit arrived quickly and in good shipping package. It was very quick to set up. We like the carrying strap, which was not available on other models we looked at. Additionally, the strap also keeps the lid on nice and snug when not in use. We also like that we can control the flame easily. We purchased spring of 2024, have used it camping, on our patio and have had zero issues. Would recommend based on ease of use, quality and design of the fire pit, as well as the price.

Great firepit, just the right size to take on an outing or at home on the deck or yard. Lots of heat and the results are amazing.....great place to sit beside and enjoy a beverage.

The firebowl itself works great. The flame set on low increases time you get out of propane tank dramatically. The rocks supplied with it are disappointing. They get black buildup quite quickly. And they crumble and fall apart after not too much use. (Maybe 15 hours) We replaced ours with a 10 pound bag of Stanbroil lava rocks. The bag was $42, but well worth it. These rocks were a big improvement to the firebowl.
