I was looking for an alternative to permanent or semi permanent hair dye which I felt damaged my hair and is toxic. I researched henna and am thrilled to have found Khadi! First, I use their clarifying charcoal shampoo, then I use the henna and rinse with their conditioner. As suggested, I follow up with their recommended oil. I absolutely love the results-the medium brown color and it makes my hair so shiny! It is a more involved process than drugstore dye. For the color I desire, I have to leave it in for an hour as opposed to 20 minutes. It’s also a bit gloppy to apply at first and there is a very earthy plant smell for a day or two but I prefer that over the toxic smell of traditional dye that uses a heavy perfume as a cover up. My hair is so much healthier now and the color is beautiful. For reference, I am a natural medium brown with some hints of gray at the temples. After a month or so, my temples fade to more of a light reddish brown. When needed, I freshen up the roots with a half box application. Occasionally, i use a full box to freshen up my entire head. The overall color is a beautiful warm brown with hints of auburn.

Works perfectly. Note that the browns are darker than they appear online, and the blonds are lighter.

I kept it for 2 hours and it smells like herbs and if u put a cover on ur head it is not messy. I have been using various brands of henna for several and out of all this is the best .i got light brown color I did not use shampoo the day I put it and the color was good and then after 48 hours I washed my hair with shampoo . Color is super and since then I have washed my hair several times and the color of the hair did not decrease .love it so much …. I will be trying other shades as well . I will highly recommend this without any hesitation. Thanks

It’s a pretty difficult product to apply, but it’s 100% chemical-free, which is hard to find these days. It didn’t cover my gray hairs, and it has a strong, incense-like smell that lingered for a week. Not sure if I’d recommend it yet, but I’ll probably give it a second try. The amount is good for long hair.

Good product, but wish Amazon would stop trying to do it all. Their delivery system is terrible. They say it will be delivered one, but it doesn't come for three more days. Please, just let UPS do the delivering.

Firstly, I never leave reviews but I feel my experience is important. This was the second time I've used khadi medium brown henna hair dye. The first time (1 month ago) was good--the scent was a bit strong but the color turned out well, so I thought it was a worthwhile temporary discomfort for the benefit. This time around, after letting the henna sit for 60 mins in a hair cap, then rinsing the dye out to let the color set for 24-48 hrs, I developed the worst migraine of my life, felt extremely dehydrated, and was so nauseous for hours, the room was spinning and it was so bad that I vomited multiple times. I've never in my life been sick like this from using a product. I'm not sure if it was a bad batch or potentially a toxic ingredient, but I will never this product again.

Didn’t cover my gray…I’ll continue searching.

Khadis naturliga hårfärger är bäst. Inte lika bra som traditionell hårfärg men om man vill undvika kemikalier så är Khadi bäst.

Preparation and application were fairly easy, although I did find the paste a bit thick and hard to spread compared to a creamier product. The color is very nice though, my greys are covered but I find the smell HORRENDOUS. First, the liquid preparation smells like a bowl of old cigarettes to me, and once rinsed and shampooed there’s a very strong grassy smell lingering on the hair. Not sure how many days this smell will last… I also find that my hair is a bit drier after using it. I don’t think I will buy again unfortunately.

I like this product’s end result but I hate the smell and I find it quite messy and difficult to prepare and use. I guess it’s something you get used to. However, it has covered my grey hairs well (except for a bit at the front roots) and gives a shiny beautiful glow with a reddish tint. I have been using chemical hair colouring all my life, so I’m happy to use something natural that actually works!

Non ho mai fatto tinte in vita mia (ho 34 anni), né dal parrucchiere né "fai da te". A causa dei primi capelli bianchi mi sono decisa a fare la tinta e ho scelto il castano medio di questa linea di tinte naturali all' hennè poiché le classiche tinte chimiche non mi avranno mai. Vi posso dire che non mi sarei mai aspettata un risultato del genere? Estremamente soddisfatta, io ho i capelli castani molto scuro e ho deciso di fare il castano medio per donare anche dei riflessi più chiari ai miei capelli scurissimi. I riflessi e la copertura dei capelli bianchi sono evidenti già dal risciacquo ma la cosa più sorprendente è che mi ha letteralmente schiarito i capelli come desideravo. Non vedo l'ora di vederli domani dopo le 24-48 h di "ossidazione" dopo il risciacquo, quando effettuerò il primo shampoo. Non avendo esperienza probabilmente la stesura della tinta è stata anche approssimativa da parte mia essendo anche da sola, quindi figuratevi se la fate in modo perfetto 😊
