Which makes her SO much more confident picking a book! Review: Great set! - All these different series are great from the Bob books. They have helped my child learn to read so well. Every book increases just slightly with difficulty so it accommodates for them learning more and more. The stories are cute and easy to understand. The words in the book are easy to sound out. I will continue to buy from all of these series has my child expands their reading. This specific box was not on the pictures from the other ones that we have that are a little older. It's a newer set they made and it's definitely worth the money!

Great for Struggling Readers
Bought to work with our child who was struggling with reading. These cover so many sight words and help build confidence. Love them!

Child is Very Responsive
You know when kids get super excited about learning and it's so fun and enthusiastic? Bob books definitely help my kid feel that way about reading. She does that full body wiggle like she can't contain the joy. She's also progressed so fast! If I had a complaint, I'd just wish they came in larger packs to buy in big bulk purchases for a possible discount. My kid loved these so much, we probably would've gone through every box - though that's definitely not necessary, even just owning one was beneficial for us, so we got a couple more sets.

Must Buy for reading
My daughter started using these books before she started kindergarten. These BOB books were perfect and she knew her sight words before she started kindergarten and has excelled in reading this year. Starting with book 1 from the first set, my daughter has read through the whole series, mastering each book, in about 4 months. I loved how each book built on the last one, it was so easy for me help her move forward. Some books she wanted to read over and over because they became so easy and silly. She loves reading and is very confident and not afraid to try new words. When he read the last book, we went back to the very first book so she could see how far she came and she was so proud of herself. I am too! I just wish there was more books to continue building her skills.

Another great set from Bob Books!
I have all the sets of Bob Books (except the pre-readers), and these are fantastic, just like all the other sets. Even the included flashcards are great. The reason I don't give it 5 stars, though, is because a lot of the words that are listed as "sight words" in these books were actually taught to my first grader in phonics lessons, not as sight words. So the words in the books may not match up to your first grade sight word list. But they are great for reinforcing everything he's learning. They'd also be great for homeschooling, since you could include all these words as sight words. Highly recommended for homeschool or regular school. Way better than the Scholastic Sight Word Readers set: more sight words in each story, better stories.

The BEST method for teaching sight words
These cards are a wonderful way to cement sight words into your child's memory. Before I have my little one read one of the books we discuss the sight words in the story and, IF the sight words can be decoded phonetically,I have my child practice that a few times. Then I have her read the stories, lastly we go through the flash cards by flashing the sight words and then reading the sentence on the back. I love that the sight words are all context based. It really helps kids remember and understand sight words in a fun way instead of boring rote memorization. Consistency is key. Do it everyday until mastered. Read 2-3 of the books and go through the flash cards. Then move up to the next level

These books are extremely useful for children that are beginning to read or has dyslexia. Large print, repetitive and easy words.

We love the BOB Books. My granddaughter is challenged by then but always gets a real sense of satisfaction from reading them. I think because they are short and she can say how many she has read. And they are fun and funny!
