Green Eggs and Ham

I purchased this book because it’s a classic and also for the lesson behind it, since my 2-year-old is a picky eater. I’m not sure he fully understands the meaning yet, but he absolutely loves the book and asks for it to be read multiple times. It is a bit longer than some toddler books, but he doesn’t seem to mind at all. He sits through the entire story and will often ask to read it again right away. The rhythm and repetition really keep him engaged. Overall, it’s a fun and engaging book that we enjoy reading anytime during the day. It’s become a favorite in our home.

It’s a classic. I had green eggs and ham when I was a little girl and I’m 69 years old so I had to introduce it to my grandson and he loves it. I love all of Dr. Seuss books. I have one fish two fish three fish and I have go dogs go the cat and the hat. I love them all. I think they’re great kids. They’re so entertaining.

Great read that this should be in every household with children.

Educational Value: I’ve read this to my [Age] child dozens of times, and it never gets old. The genius of the 50-word vocabulary is that it doesn't overwhelm a new reader. The anapestic tetrameter (the "beat" of the rhymes) makes it feel like a song, which kept my child engaged long after they usually lose interest in a standard picture book. Cons: Repetition: For parents, the 20th read-through in one day can be a test of patience—but that’s exactly what the child needs for learning!

Who doesn't know of Green Eggs & Ham book? It's been a classic for generations and still loved today. I bought this for a three-year-old I babysit, but I know some third graders who still like this book. Because of the rhymning patterns, this is a good book for new readers or older but low readers. It's a very cute book, and it is so easy to help kids learn to read with intonation; they just can't help it!

Perfect gift for friends baby shower. This is identical to the "Green Eggs and Ham " book I had as a child. Very impressed that I could get a hard cover version.

Ne passez pas à côté de ce classique, chef d'oeuvre de littérature enfantine, s'adressant aux tout juste lecteurs, d'où la répétition des mots, avec juste quelques variantes. Amusez vous à le lire à voix haute pour goûter aux subtilités phonétiques que Dr Seuss maîtrise si bien, et chers profs d'anglais qui passez par là, cet ouvrage est excellent au collège, on peut même en faire une petite pièce de théâtre, un petit film. Il y en a de nombreux exemples sur Y**T**e faits par de grands élèves Outre-Atlantique, où Dr Seuss est un Dieu! ENJOY!!
