operates very good, cleans tracks with most effort. just wondering how to clean the claning pad though...

Clean tracks are essential to running trains. My rail road is located in my garage so I pick up a lot of dust and pollen. This cleaning car works great. Clears all switches without issues. I would recommend using this directly behind the engine because of the weight of the car. Best part, it really does not look like a cleaning car, it blends right in with the rest of my rolling stock.

I bought this cleaning car because it was a CN box car. It ran well in front of an RS3 up grades and across turnouts. The pad showed it picked up some dirt. (I have only used it once so far.) I think I would like to complement it with the softer pad of the Bachmann cleaning tank cars to better follow contours. I use the softer felt pads from Woodland Scenics for hand cleaning and abrasive pads only occasionally. I may buy a Bachmann car for every day use and reserve the Walthers car for more extensive occasional cleaning.

I bought this car to clean all my track, including the impossible to reach parts. I ran the car around several times and it worked perfectly.

This car is heavy. I thought it would be a nice way to keep the tracks clean by just leaving it on with the line of cars, but the weight of it limits the amount of other cars the engine can pull. That said, it does clean the tracks well. the cleaning device on the bottom is not felt. It's stone of some sort.

This car works great for surface dirt. Should not be used as your primary track cleaner thou. The detailing in the car is superb. The only concern is that the car is quite weighted. My loco can't pull it up a hill unless I have it pull the car by itself or just with my tanker cleaning car or if I run a consist(two or more powered locos running together). If I run a consist, I am able to pull it along with the tanker cleaning car and 6 other cars up hills with less than 50% power on the locos. But I can't pull the same configuration up the hill with just one loco at 100% power. That's just to give anyone of idea of the weight of the car and how they would like to use it in their own personal layout. On level surface I can pull it along with six other cars at slow speed with no problem (same loco). It just can't climb a hill with that many cars. Its also has not derailed itself or any of my trains on tracks. Bottom line, I would defiantly recommend for everyone.

No dislikes haven’t really used it yet. Looks good time will tell.
