Fabulous soil
Best potting soil ever! Pricy but well worth it for me. Some people are able to mix up perfect soil but I’m 80 and don’t have the equipment or the strength do that. I am putting it in my Greenstalk Vertical Planters. Greenstalk company recommends this soil for their planters.

Three 5 gallon grow bags per bag plus
I couldn't find a rating of how much to order so I ordered way too much. Three 3 gallon bags, I had quite a bit left. Three 5 gallon bags, you will have some left over. For a 2'x4' grow booth 2 or 3 grow bags is all that will fit. One bag may give you enough for five to six 3 gallon bags, probably five. One bag will give you three 5 gallon bags full. Hubby has allergies and this stuff gives him issues. I have to fill pots outside then bring them in and put them in the grow booth and any leftovers have to be rebagged and sealed. The gloves which were only in one shipping box, are cheap household chore type ones but with the smell this stuff has you might be glad to use them. Head and Shoulders shampoo used straight will get the smell off your hands. I also have to keep my charcoal filter going all the time that this mix is in the booth. My soil was 'wet' so the bags were heavy. I had fungus gnats from another potting mix, this batch didn't have any. I have houseplants though so I have gnats. I bought a Katchy from Amazon, that works wonders in getting rid of your gnat problem. I was having an issue with gnats getting into the grow booth so I got one and turn it on at night and it is near the booth. At one and at two weeks, I put the Katchy IN the booth for one night overnight each time and it took the bug issue right down. After two weeks you will be going into bloom so don't do it any later than 2 weeks. I did get some sort of little tan worm, long skinny that ate across a leaf, but I caught it right away and made it into paste. It may have come in that bag. This soil is wonderful, the seed start well with a clear pop bottle with bottom cut off and lid removed over the seed. Hold down to water around outside so seed isn't washed away, take off when second true leaves appear. This soil isn't like peat moss, it doesn't 'shed' water quite like peat moss. It can FLOAT though, so be careful about washing roots out. It will soak up and hold water quite well, especially in a grow pot. A five gallon watered once or twice daily needs about 3 quarts of water at a watering. This soil will take care of a heavy eating cannabis plant to around three weeks. At that point top dress and start adding what the leaves show you they need. For a good strong plant right out of the gate, this stuff is EXCELLENT. I've not had damping off or starting issues, and plants will be vigorous and healthy. It takes a lot of the guess out for a beginner. Price fluctuates. It will keep, keep it from freezing, and try to use within a year. It seems expensive but figure half of the cost is shipping and in that case it is in the upper price of pot mix of other brands. This one is by far the most complete. Suggest you get some Humbolt Cal-Mag, and use at half strength and maybe a pint and water in (got that here on Amazon) as the first thing I see is calcium shortage from this mix. (Mix as per instuctions then dilute 50%) After harvest IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY DISEASE going on, de-rootball this and dump it into your garden to add volume and de-compact soil, it will help. If you have limited space, an urban dweller, and/or are a beginner, I highly recommend this soil. It is worth the money.

Plants love it
This stuff flat-out works. Plants take off fast and look healthier compared to basic potting mixes. The texture is perfect—not too dense, not too light—and it holds moisture well without getting soggy. You can tell the mycorrhizae and nutrients are doing their job. Great for both indoor and outdoor containers. A little pricier, but worth every penny if you actually care about results.

Expensive. but AWESOME
Lost one star just because it's so expensive. But this stuff is great! Great consistency and ingredients. My plants love it. Don't need to feed for a while after planting or up-potting because this soil is so rich. Good drainage but also good moisture retention. I also mix it in with other soils and blends for different types of plants or stages in life cycle.

Great soil with mycorrhizae
Finally the time of year where I can start transplanting my indoor starts into grow bags outside so the soil bags I bought this winter are getting put to use. Some of the bags had some white mold in them when I opened them which I took as a GOOD thing because it's proof that this soil includes healthy soil microbes and mycorrhizae. I knew that when I bought it so I expected some amount of fungi since the soil isn't dried out and is full of nutrients! Seeing beneficial white mold in a bag of soil like this is a sign that your soil has had some moisture properly locked in by the sealed bag to keep it from becoming so dry that it is hydrophobic, and that it is loaded with good nutrition for plants. The fungi should not harm your plants, and actually serves a purpose in the soil breaking down nutrients and benefits healthy root systems by making those nutrients more available to your plants through a symbiotic relationship. I specifically looked for a soil that had mycorrhizae because of research showing how beneficial it is for the root systems of plants. FoxFarm soil might be a bit pricy but it is full of good quality plant nutrition and highly recommended for a reason. Don't be afraid of a little white mold in healthy soil!

Great value, great soil. I recommend.
Great quality soil for all of my house plants. Great drainage. I ordered the 2cu ft amount. The bag was big enough to repot all 5 of my plants- 2 plants that were in a gallon pot. I still have a lot of soil leftover. Great value. I recommend.
