Works great on a 12 inch drill press
I own a Craftsmen 12 inch bench top drill press. The chuck does not work with small bits like this one. So the Hex Shank solves that problem. This works wonders for my small drill projects where i want a perfect straight hole. I build guitars and this is a must have bit! Pros: 1)Works well on drill press 2)Good Quality Cons: 1)None

Drills small holes and drills them well.
It's a small drill bit for drilling small holes, made to be able to be chucked into an electric screwdriver. Obviously, it's not as sturdy as an actual drill bit and I find it is best suited for light work or pilot hole markings. I use mine when wiring electric guitars as it lets me switch quickly between drilling pilot holes and driving screws with my easier-to-manage electric screwdriver, rather than having to break out my full-size drill. It's not too fragile, but will only take so much abuse/bending (it is, after all, a 1/16 drill bit). So long as you exercise care and forethought when using and storing it, it should last you for a good, long while.

1/16 inch size looks intact but once you touch the shrink wrap you find drill bit is broken... on a replacement unit as well I just assume the manufacturer has a abusive packaging method. Weird but true .
