Great Game!
Funkoverse delivers an amazing game that is fun for all ages! The Funko pops included in the game are solid. I played the game several times in public places and people would stop to see what I was playing because they recognized the characters from far away. The game has a lot of replayability because of the different scenarios that are in each game and the double-sided game boards. The four scenarios each have differing objectives. Flags is kind of like capture the flag where getting the opponent’s flag gets you points, along with reaching scenario markers. Control has characters competing to control areas that will flip depending on whose character is in the area. Territory involves occupying certain scoring areas to gain points. Leaders is more combative because you want to knock out the opponent’s leader to gain points. Each character also has special abilities that are unique to them outside of the general abilities. Certain characters also have items they can use during their turn. The items are super adorable things that the Funko pops can hold. Many rulebooks are often hard to follow, but Funkoverse makes the game easy to learn with their step-by-step guide and their glossary of terms. Highly recommend this game to play with your kids, but it was also just as fun playing with my adult friends!

A must for your holiday season
Funkoverse DC is a great game and fun to play with my family. I bought this game on Amazon and was blown away by how aesthetically pleasing all of the pieces and parts are. Of course the Funko figures are great quality! I can't wait to play with my expanded family over the holidays. The game has enough strategy to be enjoyed by classic board game lovers and enough pop culture to be fun for everyone! Each team uses 3 characters, and this set only has 4 Funko figures (the other two characters are tokens). I recommend purchasing another base set or “expandalone” set so you can play the game without tokens. I didn't have the DC expansion (but I'm excited about purchasing it so I can play with Catwoman and Robin) but I mixed in some of the Harry Potter characters so that I could use all figures and no tokens. The games includes two maps (the board is double-sided) and 4 different scenarios. I found that I preferred some maps and scenarios to others. The great thing about having so many options is that you can choose the set-up that you enjoy the most.

Funko for the Whole Family!
Have you ever wondered who would win in a fight between Batman and Voldemort? What about The Joker vs. Blanche from the Golden Girls? Those are exactly the type of scenarios that you can set up in this game. Everything is interchangeable, so you can have different characters from completely different worlds battle it out. This is an entry level skermish game with light strategic elements that mesh well with the complexity of the combinations of characters/items/maps/partners you can field. There are 4 scenarios for each map and the different Combinations all feel different. Will my team consist of Harry Potter and Robin with a batarang? Or Rose with a whip and Cat-woman? Are we playing capture the flag, or king of the hill? It all works so well and smooth. I hope to see more scenarios in the future, and a TON more options with characters. This is the closest thing to “Smash Brothers the BoardGame” as we’re going to get in regards to different IP’s battling it out.

This game is not a cashgrab: there is a surprising amount of fun and strategy here.
This game is really fun. Once you've played a few turns you'll immediately see that there is more to this game that meets the eye. More about this in a moment. The one downside to this box is that I think the game is best when you are playing 3 vs 3 and there are 4 pops in this box. You fill out the rest of your team with 2 basic characters that are usable but they're cardboard tokens. I have other games where you fight 2vs2 with hand-picked teams. Like I really like x-wing for example, but here's one advantage that funkoverse has that makes it quicker to start a game: To build a funkoverse team you just pick 3 people that seem fun and there you go. You don't have to figure out "well this person is worth X points and that person is worth Y points" to balance out your teams. You just pick 3 and go. The thing that makes you say "whoa, there are some interesting strategy things happening in this game" are: 1) the cooldown track 2) the abilities and the ability tokens The cooldown track is interesting because it is very easy to tell how often you can do something in a very straightforward way. And then that really interacts with the abilities in a cool way too. In addition to this batman set, I also own the Harry Potter set in addition to this batman set. So for example in my first game I ran Voldemort and Bellatrix on my team. Very early on I used some very powerful abilities they had. But then I realized that all my grey tokens were on the cooldown track and wouldn't be available to be used again anytime soon. That's interesting because other players might have weaker powers that they get to use more often. It makes for cool choices. Also, this adds some interesting team building opportunities too. Because the token pool is shared, if I added another character to my group who came with a grey token, it would mean I would be able to do that ability another time. Actually playing the game is fun too. Sometimes I feel like there are a lot of options available to me when I'm taking my turn, especially since you get to pick the order to activate your characters in So far i've just played on the same map over and over again, but now that I have other sets too, the fact that I have a bunch of other maps to try out is something I haven't even explored yet Tons of replayability when you add more figures. I'm looking forward to their continued releases.

This is a very complicated game. I dont recommend it at all, but the quality is very good and it was delivered on time.
