SUN CUBE Wide Brim Sun Hat with Neck Flap, UPF50+ Hiking Safari Fishing Hat for Men Women, Sun Protection Beach Hat

This was for my husband. He works outside a lot in the Florida sun. This hat has fit perfectly, and it protects his ears and neck perfectly.

Bought this to wear in Mombasa, Kenya which is known for its hot humid weather and this was excellent! It’s light weight, dries quickly if wet, takes no space when packing, maintains its shape, doesn’t fly off my head and keeps me well covered from the brutal sun without making my head hot and sweaty! I even wore it in the ocean and it didn’t fly off! As someone else mentioned in their review-it’s the hat you never knew you needed all along. It isn’t flattering looking at all and may draw some hilarious stares but heck it works soooooo well for me:)))) so who cares?

I've used this twice for fishing now, and am very satisfied. I was concerned because I have a very large head (8 1/8 men's hat size), and the feedback I got on this hat was mixed about how large it was. In fact, it turns out to be a bit smaller than my head, but that's no problem because of the design. The chin strap is adjustable, which is to be expected, but it is easily adjusted and holds its position regardless of wind or other pressures that might try to pull it loose, which is not the case on many hat chin straps. So, if you tighten up the chin strap, although the hat does not come all the way down over your (oversized) head, it stays on firmly and comfortably. For folks with extra small heads, I cannot address how well it works. I also like the design very much. The back half of the hat has no stiff brim, just the neck covering. This I find very effective and it adds to the comfort of the hat. The front brim is stiff and very large. Its stiffness means it holds its position despite wind, etc., so you have good protection from the sun. Because it is very large, it can restrict your upward vision at times (as when you are checking on the backcast while fly fishing), but if you tilt the brim back (higher angle on your head) when you need to, this is no problem. Overall, a very good design, a comfortable and effective sun hat. I find it excellent for both fly fishing and hiking.

I use this hat for fishing in central Texas so with constant hot sun beating on my head for hours on end, I needed something that was going to hold up and could handle the extreme UV levels. I typically apply sunscreen to my neck, but this adds an extra layer of protection. I don't like to apply sunscreen to my face because with any sweat, it comes off and gets into your eye very easily. This hat was perfect for my use case because I wanted a wide brim hat that could provide ample coverage to my ears and the large flap in the back provides ample coverage to my neck/upper back. It's comfortable and fairly good quality (for the price). I knocked one star off because due to this being a fairly large hat, you'll definitely need to to fold it up, but if you don't do it properly - it will cause a bad crease on the hat. I also feel the upper part of the hat (that surrounds you head) could have been made of slightly better quality materials - it feels a bit flimsy. I do really like the mesh panels they because it definitely allows your head to "breath." Overall, it's a great sun protection hat for the price.

Great hot-weather hat, lightweight, cool, and keeps the sun off your neck. Perfect for dealing with the hotter weather from climate change. This is the coolest hat that I've ever worn, in terms of temperature. Maybe not the coolest looking, unless you think looking like Lawrence of Arabia is cool, LOL. It's also so lightweight that it's great for hiking, mountain climbing, or traveling, because you'll never notice the weight, and you roll it up and stuff it in a bag and it takes up virtually no space. The only potential drawback is that it's so lightweight that in a strong wind, it might blow away unless you tighten the cord to keep it on your head.

I have fair skin and blue eyes and regularly feel like I’m being personally victimized by the sun. I took the plunge and ordered this baby and now I reign victorious over the assault of the sun’s blinding rays. Is it stylish? No. Is it in any way flattering? Also no. Do people look on with shock and envy when you wear this beast out? Sometimes. I have a giant head and this fits with room to spare, plus it could be sized down for all you tiny headed people with the included toggle strap. I leave mine loose and either secure the chin strap in case of high winds, or walk on the wild side, knowing my hat may fall off. It’s lightweight. It’s vented to reduce head sweating. It drys quickly and I usually wear it swimming. The brim is sturdy and reshapes fine after the water. The brim is HUGE all the way around. It deflects the sun’s harmful rays. It performs exactly as one would desire a sun hat to. Buy one. Heck, buy four. You might look like a misplaced explorer, but it’s worth it.

I use this hat as my gardening hat, and I LOVE it. Always keeps the sun out of my face and off my neck, allowing me to put in as many hours as I like without turning into a lobster-man.

El sombrero cumple super bien su función, es bonito y protege del sol. El único detalle, y es una opinión muy personal, fue el color, es muy fácil de ensuciar. Pero fuera de esta cuestión es super recomendable.
