Oberto Classics beef pepperoni 24oz Zip Pak

So December 22nd 2023 my husband was placed on stand by at work. We weren't worried because we figured we would get unemployment, so money would be tight but we would make it by. Well, money never came, and work was still too slow to place him anywhere, so we were stuck with the remnants of our last paycheck to feed our family for the indefinite future. I had been given an Amazon gift card by my father for Christmas and had never thought to buy food from here before, but times we're desperate, we have 5 children and seeing them hungry makes me feel so sick and helpless. We carefully chose what to order, and this was one of the items we bought. Let me tell you, for the price paid I was not expecting such a large bag! My 4 boys (8 and under) and my husband were finally able to get their protein fix and it really lifted a heavy burden off of mine and my husband's shoulders. My husband is finally back to work, today his first check just deposited, and I wanted to order another one of these because it was just SUCH a good value, good quality, and came super fast! Going to use these in my husband's lunch or for my boys to snack on during weekends. Idk. This just honestly really was such a lifesaver, I don't know how to stress that enough. God got us through this rough patch perfectly

My item just arrived and opened right up and ate 2 sticks. First they are really fresh soft and east to chew. They look really good but now for the flavor. I have not had one in a couple of years but these are not flavored the same as the old ones. They do not have the sharp peppery flavor they once had and the aftertaste leaves little to be desired. They are sort of greasy now. Like I said the flavor used to be bold and spicy and they definitely have left out some spices. While decent I am disappointed and will not buy again and I have eaten a lot of these in the past. Really a shame. Makes me question the rest of Oberto's line.

All Oberto jerky products are great except bacon jerky. No bacon jerky is good. Bacon jerky is simply cold bacon. Art Oberto is a wonderful gentleman. I've never been disappointed with Oberto offerings I've gotten. Given a choice I'll always choose Oberto.

I have eaten and enjoyed Oberto pepperoni all my life and live not far from their headquarters. This particular package contained shriveled, dried up meat sticks covered with a white film (mold?) that don't taste right. This product has always been consistent in quality and I hope this is a one time problem, otherwise it will be adios muchachos.
