Simple, powerful addition to toolbox
Makes one of the most annoying parts of building so much easier and quick. If you got big hands this is a god send. Its tough and works flawlessly. If you will build more than 1 system this is a no brainer buy.

Worked perfectly
Worked perfectly for installing the bolt catch roll pin on my ar lower. I can't speak for the durability because I've only used it once, but it did work well and made installation easy

Excellent Tool - Bolt Catch Pin Only!
This tool makes swapping out a bolt catch very simple. It’s well made, and a nice length. The rubberized coating is great, but I still highly recommend taping off your lower if you definitely don’t want any scratches. This tool is made to remove and install the bolt catch pin from the stock end, which is exactly how it should be done. The pin should not require much tapping force during removal or installation. In most lowers when the pin is being removed, it will want to push against the mag lock protrusion on the magazine well. To eliminate damage, other than tape, I place a thin guitar pick (or similar item) under the pin and over the protrusion as it starts coming out, then lightly keep tapping the punch as the pin slowly rides up the pick and frees itself. If done correctly and slowly, it eliminates 100% of any unwanted damage. I highly recommend this product for its intended use. If you make sure it’s lined up straight with the pin and don’t use excessive force, this tool will very likely work great for you.

Works well for the price
These are great for the occasional builder. I got them for the price and in a pinch. I have already broken the punch (after 15+ builds), but the starter punch should last forever. I'd say it's worth it. Use card stock or 3/5 card cut down in strips. Put the strip and painter tape right up to the hole. Don't go to far with the starter, before switch over to the punch, and go one tap at a time. If you get a small "smiley" mark, bust out and apply Aluminum Black and it'll look perfect.

Must have for AR build
Anyone who builds an AR style rifle needs this. The bolt catch roll pin is one part of the build that’s almost impossible to install correctly without the right tool. This kit has everything you need, and it’s all in a metal case. It even has the allen wrench for bolt catch pins that are threaded.

Great!
This is a must for driving Bolt catch pins. I bought this because I drove the pin slightly too far when I was installing the bolt catch. I couldn't push it back without banging up the lower. I used the punch and was able to push it forward all the way through the other side. One caveat is the you a thin piece of plastic on the magazine side to act as a ramp to avoid marking the hump on the mag well. I used a guitar pick. If you plan on building multiple AR's, buy it!

Right tool for the job
This is an item that you don't really need, but makes a slightly tricky task much easier while protecting your baby. There are other ways to change a bolt catch, but what take a chance on damaging your finish when you can do it with this inexpensive tool. Works great.
