I purchased this to use as a couch for my craft room. I was less interested in a bed, and more in an inexpensive couch to relax and sit on to watch TV, do crafts and paint (paired with an adjustable shelf on wheels). It is exactly what I needed at a great price. It's comfortable to sit on, though the seat isn't as deep as a standard couch. It's about the width of a love seat and with the cup holder and arm pillows on, it's a tight squeeze to fit between the two and not comfortable - I realize it's best to use one or the other. It was easy to assemble and took me about an hour to assemble on my own. Power drill necessary to finish building, but extra screws and washers were provided. I will say it's shorter then I thought - I'm 5'5" and when I lay on it my feet hang off a bit, but that doesn't bother me because sleeping on it is not it's main purpose. I would highly recommend for any room that needs a little extra seating.

Got this to replace the worn out jackknife sofa on my RV. The color matched our dinette cushions perfectly. The exact length of this unit was 61”, so it was a little shorter than our factory couch(65”). I mounted it to strictly use as a couch, so it does not lay flat anymore. To do that, I extended the mounting blocks on the sides so I could screw it down. The legs that come with it would have only had this thing sitting 8” off the ground, so I definitely wanted to use my own mounts. Problem was, this couch comes in 2pcs, split right down the middle. The center of the couch is held together with the center legs, so I had to build a custom mounting block that incorporated the legs. Once I stained the custom blocks I made, it looked great! Initial cost was a bargain and I spent another $20 and about an hour of my time to fabricate my mounting blocks and install everything.

The sofa came with all parts. You need an electric screwdriver or a screwdriver bit in a cordless drill with the clutch set appropriately for screws. Assembly took me less than 1 hour. Simple photo instructions, although I did part 1 and 3 before part 2, so I would not have to turn the sofa upside down twice. After assembly the sofa is very solid. It is on the smaller side for a small room. I bought the fabric version, and the fabric seems sturdy and well sewn together. Following are the actual dimensions. 32 inches deep front to back 61 inches long side to side 13 inches floor to seat top 27.5 inches floor to top of back (in couch position) 19 inches back of seat to front of seat 24 inches width of each seat with cup holder in place (without armrests) 8 inches clearance for vacuum cleaner under sofa. As you can see, it sits low. The cushions are quite hard and firm. They may loosen up after use. Laying on it for a bed would be OK for an overnight guest, but probably not for nightly use without a memory foam topper. It will scare you at first if you dont read the instructions, because you will think its missing almost all its parts. The parts are stored INISIDE each half of the sofa on the bottom in a hidden zippered compartment. The bottom fabric on one side of mine was ripped, but I repaired it with some duct tape on the inside and then zipped it back up. The armrests are a joke really. They will just fall on the floor. At some point I might sew some velcro on the ends of the seat and the armrests to keep them in place, but honestly, I bought this BECAUSE it did not have arm rests as I wanted to be able to turn 45 degrees to exit the sofa. I dont know how long it will last, it seems pretty solid, but the mechanism for raising and lowering it seems a little flimsy, so I would raise and lower it slowly. It is dog approved :) I gave it 4 stars because of the height which is lower than it appears in the description, and the questionable mechanism to raise and lower the back. If it holds up for a couple years, it will be a 5 star given the price.

Rated 3* for the appearance and price At first i loved it. Sleek design, fit perfectly. A little annoyed i had to hunt down a friend with a drill to assemble it. Arm rests seemed kinda pointless as they didnt stay in place easily as the bottom was fabric, there was no friction to sturdy it. And they were WAYY too uncomfortable to use as pillows. Okay, who needs arm rests anyways, and i have plenty of pillows and stuffies. Then I tried using the cup holder. It didnt fully flatten against the couch when i set it down, so unless your drinks had lids theres a spill probability. Okay, whatever, i have a coffee table for a reason.. Then i tried using it as a futon. Terrible. Everybody who comes over for the night mentions the uncomfortability even after i layer it with sheets and some blankets. Its great for something so cheap. But thats about it imo. Also, if you have cats be forewarned you may need a cover. As beautifully sleek as it is, my cat wont stop using it as a scratching post any chance she gets despite having her own 4 foot post 🤣🥲

Here is the full rundown, the only review you'll need to read since I will cover every point you may need to consider and answer all possible questions I should have asked before buying it: Seats, 1-2 people, back rest is quite short. Sitting on this for prolonged use is not good since the back padding is about half an inch thick. Realistically just good if you want a seat for your pets. If you lay it down to a 'bed' the bottom foam is much thicker than the top padding making you lean to one side heavily. The other issue is really funky sizing, the sides are wide but it is so short it makes the 'bed' unusable for anyone above 5'5". Sturdiness, 3/5 not bad, but it is definitely not meant for long lasting use, feels flimsy, the cup holder is basically held on by a strap of fabric. Value, 1/5 stars Terrible. This is my biggest gripe. The pulldown bed is short for someone 5'5", your feet will be hanging over the edge. At 6", your lower legs are hanging over all the way making your feet fall asleep from lack of blood-flow, but that will be the only thing really sleeping on this thing. The sizing of this is deceptive and it is shorter than pretty much anything else on the market. If you purchase this, assemble and realize that the size doesn't work for you - you have to pay shipping to send it back that cuts most of the cost of the piece itself. Customer service is virtually non-existent. They want you to jump through hoops until you give up on returning this piece of junk. I cannot recommend this, I would advise you to keep your search going elsewhere.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Perfect replacement for the RV jackknife couch! I gave our old camper a facelift and the existing couch was worn out and hideous. This is the perfect size, even when laid flat in bed mode. This futon was easy to put together and easy to convert from couch to bed. The comfort is so so. For an RV it's perfect. I'm not sure if I'd use this in my house for daily use. Overall I'm really pleased with this.

Gave it 2 stars for color! It's very pretty and looks like it is made of good quality, but fails miserably! Poor quality material that pulled away from the seams within a couple months of daily use. Would be great for rare usage in a guest room, but not daily. It is horribly uncomfortable, hard, lumpy and you feel the wood underneath the thin cushioning. It hurts, simple as that! As all futons are...it very low to the ground and just too low for me. As my dad always said....you get what you pay for. It's cheap...all the way. Don't recommend
