Highly recommend !
Throw away your anodized aluminum cookers and buy this. Heavy base, cooks really well and can throw this in dishwasher (not lid). Really good quality ! First time buying prestige. Used to buy hawkins non stick and got skeptical seeing black anodized coating getting damaged with even hand washing

Good enough
Works well, as good as it claims. Food stains are hard to remove, so perhaps other reviewers are correct that it may not be stainless steel.

Great product!
Lovely product! Only thing is it’s small in capacity but again that’s not a defect! It’s just the capacity that’s offered. I love this product and highly recommend it specially for small family or may be bachelors or for someone who just needs an extra pressure cooker!

Almost Perfect
Had this cooker arrived with instructions for cooking more than “grains” I would have given it 5 stars for being perfect. Luckily, I have experience with larger pressure cookers because there are no instructions associated with cooking meat in this one. I was concerned due to the small size of this cooker and in reading the instructions for cooking rice and other grains it sounded complicated, at least to me especially the part about not letting the cooker run “dry” due to the absorption of liquid into the grains. I contacted the seller who responded with, “This item does not come with meat recipe book, but you will find many online for pressure cooker.” So going by recipes from my other pressure cooker I decided to just jump in and go for it. First of all, the release of steam is not the “whistle” that one associates with a whistling teakettle. It is a whoosh or burst of steam. In fact when the first one occurred, it scared the heck out of me because it was loud, and I wasn’t expecting it. I had (3) bone-in chicken thighs to cook. I poured about 1 tbsp. of oil into the cooker and browned the chicken on both sides, one at a time due to the limited space. With all three thighs in the cooker, I added 1 cup of water that contained 1 tsp. of Better Than Bouillon chicken flavoring stirred into it. Placement of the lid requires you to press down a bit to set the handles into alignment. You also have to actually press the weight valve to seat it into place using gentle pressure and it will give a “click”. I set it on high heat as indicated in the instructions that came with the cooker keeping the flame within the parameters of the bottom of the cooker. It didn’t take long for the pressure indicator to rise and that first blast of steam. I lowered the heat and set the stove timer for 10 minutes. The blasts of steam escape at intervals of about 30 seconds. Just to be safe, I listened for 8 blasts then turned the burner off and set the cooker aside. It did not take long for the pressure indicator to drop back into place, about 5 minutes. I let the cooker sit for a few more minutes before removing the weight valve. When I opened it, there was plenty of broth left and the chicken was cooked through and tender. The next day I cooked (2) thin sliced boneless pork chops that I seasoned with salt and pepper. I added some oil and browned the pork chops, I added 1/2 cup of water that contained ½ tsp. of Better Than Bouillon chicken flavoring stirred into it. I set the lid and the weight valve in place and turned the heat to high. After about 5 minutes the pressure indicator rose followed shortly by a blast of steam. I lowered the heat and set the stove timer for ten minutes. This time I listened for 4 blasts of steam, turned off the burner and set the cooker aside. After about 5 minutes the pressure indicator dropped back into place, and I removed the weight valve. The pork chops were tender and delicious with plenty of broth left in the bottom of the cooker. Apparently, it is easier to use for meat than it appears to be for the rice and other grains mentioned probably because the grains absorb the liquid and meat doesn’t. It cooks fast and cleans up well. I am keeping the cooker on the stove as this will probably be my “Go To” piece of cookware at this point in time. So far, I am happy with this cooker, and I will be experimenting with other meats and veggies too. Note: I am a fan of Better Than Bouillon that comes in many “flavors”, however, you can use plain water instead or other “broths” of your choosing. I also think I can reduce the number of “blasts” to 2 or 3 for thin cut meats. I will be testing this theory the next time I use it. I set my stove timer to 10 minutes merely as a security measure until I get used to using this cooker. Update: I Cooked seasoned Pork Ribs that were on the thick side. It took a count of 10 bursts of steam to make them "fall off the bone" tender. If you find your meat isn't tender enough, just return it to the cooker and begin again which is what I had to do with the ribs. Even with the "redo" it was still faster than the grill, oven or frying pan although you can pop them on the grill to crisp them up before serving. For me it's all in keeping track of the bursts of steam so it's going to be hit or miss until you get used to it, but I'm still happy with it.

Great Indian prestige cooker. It is triply with heavy bottom which I needed for electric stove top. It functions well with the vent and pressure release. I must recommend it. I use it every day for cooking like curry, rice, and dal.
