Worth it!
Wasn’t thrilled on the price, however, being able to adjust settings and such on my own is well worth it! I can use it on future installs too!

Let me enable triple lock to remote start on civic already with CM900
I had a CM900 brain and this let me add triple lock to remote start on my 10th gen civic using my OEM remote without having to go to a shop.

Tricky to figure out but it works
I used this to install the Firstech FT-DC3-HC in a 2016 Honda Odyssey with the ADS-THR-HA10 T-Harness. For anyone doing this setup, the PCU is over the gas pedal but it's up and towards the center of the vehicle. I found it easier to remove the bracket holding the two separate units that are directly over the gas pedal, then removing the bracket that holds the PCU. You will need to remove the steering column shroud to hook up the horn, and parking light wires. There are 3 phillips screws on the bottom side, and two behind the steering wheel. I was able to turn the wheel 90 degrees in each direction to remove them. There is no need to hookup the hood switch. I'm assuming the signal is passed along by the T-Harness. I originally had tapped into the factory hood sensor and it was giving me an error. Without that wire hooked up the engine still cuts off if pop the hood while it's in remote start mode. Before hooking the DC3 up to the vehicle plug it into your computer and go to https://www.idatalink.com/weblink/ in internet explorer. It will download an add on then let you flash it. I had a firmware update then I picked which vehicle I was hooking it up to. After that you can plug it into the vehicle do the first steps. Then plug it into the computer to finish programming. After that you plug it back in the vehicle and finish the last few steps. For mine I found I am able to open the lift gate once the vehicle was started remotely but I can't remote open the sliding doors. I programmed mine to have a 5 minute delay between opening the drivers door and having to close it and pus the brake and start button. I just installed it yesterday so no additional tips.

Isn’t working.
It isn’t communicating with my computer and I’ve been struggling to get ahold of idatalink tech support to figure out what’s going on. If it’s not too late I’m probably going to return it.

This device is needed for programming and updating compustar modules. Without it, you won't be able to complete your compustar install.
