I dont know why but I did not expect them to be plastic. I expected metal or something a little stronger. They work fine and it doesn't seem to be an issue, but I was expecting them to be a little higher quality I guess. Bought for emergency kits so I'm a little worried about where I store them and their fragility

I actually bought these as a Christmas gift for my brother, but ended up keeping them. Boy, I'm glad I did! We've had two outages. I have only needed one so far, and it's been great. Burns for a long time. I've used the one for hours at two different outages and it is still almost full. I plan to get more for friends and neighbors.

These are great candles to have in case you loos power. Easy to light and last a long time. I will note that I tried pulling the wick out to make it longer but it fell down into the liquid and unreachable. Don't try to adjust the wick and you will be fine.

The first time I purchased these 115 hour candles was before 2000....we weren't sure what was going to happen and many of us stocked up on emergency supplies....I used them every power outage.... I finally needed to replace because our New normal is our power provider has pretty much burned down our state....and because of their horrible mismanagement are working to replace a nineteenth century grid....so we have had our power turned off 3 times for several days.... It felt so much better with light.... These are so much safer than drip candles and doesn't ruin everything.....I recommend these and would not be without them....

I had these for emergencies and sure enough I was without power 5 and 1/2 days during a winter storm. I used 1 for a porch light and ironically the wax froze in negative temps but the candle continued to burn. For the time I needed it and in terms of burn I got close to 100 hours but I failed to pull up the wick and lost it within candle. So make sure not to let the wick burn too low in fact I suggest pulling it up about 1/4 before lighting

We live in the hurricane prone south. These candles are perfect to use for power outages. I place one on th center of our kitchen table so we dont have to eat our snacks in the dark. Long lasting and doesnt take up much space. I highly recommend you buy some for bad weather occasions.
