Slick, Powerful, and Unobtrusive—Finally, More Ports That Deliver Without Drama
Let me be blunt: I was tired of juggling flash drives, peripherals, and charging cables with only 2 laptop ports. Enter the TP-Link UH700—an ultra-slim, seven-port USB 3.0 hub that actually does what it promises. What Stands Out: Blistering USB 3.0 Speeds: Transfers up to 5 Gbps—about ten times faster than USB 2.0. I dropped a full HD movie and it landed in under 2 minutes 20 seconds. That’s real-world speed you notice. Smart Charging Capability: Three ports deliver up to 5 V/1.5 A each—charging about 50% faster than the usual 1 A hubs. My phone hit full charging noticeably quicker. Built Tough and Safe: It’s not just slim—it’s smart. Multiple protections guard against overheating, over-current, over-voltage, short‐circuits, plus it supports hot-swapping. Clean, Minimal Footprint: The sleek design with LED indicators—both on the power button and beside each port—feels professional without flashing like a disco. Effortless Compatibility: Plug-and-play across Windows, Mac, Linux—even older OS like XP or Vista. No driver hassle. Bottom line: The UH700 is a stylish, dependable solution for expanding your USB arsenal—fast data, quick charging, and safe operation in one compact package. Just don’t expect it to serve as a hard-drive powerhouse hub.

This router works and doesn't need attention all the time.
This tp-link router is extremely flexible and easy to use. All the ports are clearly labeled. The industrial design is sleek and modern. It fits right in. The build quality is top notch. I am very happy with the speed that it gives me. It is a very attractive model with lots of features. However, the thing I like best about it is that it works very well. It takes care of itself and gives me excellent service

Suffice it to say I'm very satisfied with my choice
This was my second choice after reading about the Anker USB hubs and being put off by the power issues. Suffice it to say I'm very satisfied with my choice. I purchased this hub as an alternative to passing through USB devices through a QEMU KVM. Thus far I've attached a keyboard, mouse and Bluetooth adapter to the hub. This alleviated resetting issues causing the VM to take longer than usual to boot, reduced latency and EMI. My Bluetooth receiver until this point was quite unreliable. Since attaching it to this hub I've had no issues whatsoever. No cutouts or desynchronization in either the Linux host or the Windows guest. All my devices are detected and pair immediately. This signals to me high quality construction of the hub itself because it indicates proper shielding of the USB ports. In terms of aesthetics it's very plain and not at all obtrusive. The lights are bright enough without being obnoxious. I can't note any downsides myself but other reviewers have complained about the hub not turning back on after getting a power down signal from the OS. Since my rig never sleeps this isn't an issue for me, but it will probably present a minor annoyance if you're using this with a laptop and often put it to sleep by closing the lid rather than shutting it down. You just need to push a button in that case. The 1.5A charging ports do fine with my Galaxy S8. These ports also handle data just fine as you'd expect. Other reviews noted issues with high amperage devices connected to this hub. Honestly I would not trust a hub to deliver high current regardless of what it says on the box. Such a device should be fed power through its own specialized adapter and not over USB. All in all, I've got to say I'm perfectly content with this device. Time will tell if it shits itself like a borderline spouse after the honeymoon, if that's the case I'll update my review to reflect that. Three days in though and I'm not regretting my purchase.

Good product
I've had this thing for awhile. Really like it. I have a 3 monitor setup in my home office so I need something to connect everything together and this is what I use. This lighting charger ports are really nice. I use it to charge my phone and it does charger a lot faster, you will notice a difference. I've had this thing for about 2 years and it still works very well (knock on wood). Nothing major to complain about so I'm giving it 5 stars.

Awesome USB hub.
Instant setup on Windows 8.1. I didn't have to do anything to get it to work. I've used mice, keyboards, game controllers, thumb drives, printers, network adaptors and Bluetooth dongles without a hitch. It's a great product that works exactly as advertised. Side note: This will not work without the power adapter plugged in.

Annoying power button
This product worked fine, but I did not expect the power button to function like it did and overall it seemed pointless. When I have my mouse, USB headset, etc. plugged into it they work. Put computer into sleep mode though and the USB hub completely turns off. When the computer wakes back up the hub does NOT turn back on unless the USB hub button is manually pressed. This seems completely unnecessary as a simple power switch would have worked just fine.

Good USB3 hub with ON/OFF switch
Good USB3 hub with the nice feature of an ON/OFF button on top. Connectors are not too close to each other, so no port stays unused. The casing feels and looks "high quality". Only downside is the USB plug on the back. It is a bit too lose for my liking and since I move things around quite often it becomes undone.

I used this at a customer site and was so impressed I bought some for myself. I know it sounds ridiculous when talking about USB hubs but it's the little things that make it a pleasure to use: It sits nice and flat on the desk and doesn't "pull". its LED indicators don't blind you. You can disconnect everything from the computer at once with power switch. The hub works (at reduced power capability) even if you don't use the separate power adapter. The port orientation allows you to see/use the devices you plug in "flat" (parallel to the table) -- this is either a win or a lose depending your specific devices/application. It will happily power or charge devices without the computer connected. The power adapter is reasonable (24W) and the supplied upstream cable is a reasonable length (3'). This switch does not have MTT, which means that even though your uplink is USB 3.0 SS, you can't use that high bandwidth to get more than 480mbps total when using multiple 480mbps 2.0HS devices. (i.e. the SS bandwidth is for SS devices only, and everything else competes over the 480mbps HS bandwidth.) This isn't a problem for most people, and isn't for me in this application, but I have MTT capable hubs for when I need that feature.
