I didn't have a class before my test, but with this book and the great way you spell things out, I was absolutely comfortable through the exam and I felt I did well. Thanks again, and I highly recommend these books to anyone who is experienced in the world of inspection but needs some brushing up before an exam. Review: Good tool...watch out for overpricing. - This book is a great little study guide for inspectors looking to obtain their pressure vessel certificate. I have seen some reviews that said this book alone gave the test taker the ability to pass. Not true! Do not solely use this book to study. It is a great addition to your study material and should only be used to supplement your study habits. Also, be aware that API codes are revised and new editions come out frequently. The copy I have is for the 9th edition of API 510, and currently the test covers the 10th edition. It can still be a useful tool if it is a little dated. I bought a paperback copy from another book store for $50.00. Paying anywhere around $300 for this study guide is outrageous. I have no idea why some folks selling copies of it are pricing it in that range. Buy the kindle version, or the paperback elsewhere...and good luck!!

NOT a substitute for the standards and codes in the BOK
But a perfect COMPLIMENT to the BOK (API 510 body of knowledge) to prepare you for the exam. Passed 1st time through; this book pointed out the noteworthy things that you WILL find on the exam. Recommended.

Awesome!!!
I didn't take a class for my 510 exam. And was skeptical about passing exam from the first time, especially when I read BOK. ASME sections were brutal:)... However, this book restored my hope! And here I am: 112 out of 125, 90% score Fresh API 510 inspector!!! Clifford Matthews rocks, what a man!!! Thanx a lot for this book, superb work!!!

Very well written. This title helped me with another study tool in preparing for the API-510 examination. However as the book states it is not a replacement for a recognized program of study, but it is an excellent supplement. I would recommend this title to anyone preparing for the API-510 examination.

I bought this book to prepare myself for the API 510 exam by self-studying. I would not say that I have passed the exam only by reading this book (That is also not its approach) but I can say that it helps me to study the right sections of that pile of code books with the right procedure and making the effort to keep on learning. And this even as a non-natural english speaker. Thanks to the author, TJ
