Dora The Explorer: Let's Explore! Dora's Greatest Adventures

Hours of Dora the Explorer on one disc?! My child who is a big Dora fan loves having this DVD for roadtrips in our car DVD player. Lots of fun episodes included.

My son just loves it! He has become a Dora fan after I read to him the stories from this book. Reading a story or two from the book is the first thing he wants to do after getting up in the morning, or coming back from preschool in the afternoon. Can't recommend it enough! Updates: Apparently I mixed up my reviews on the Dora products that I purchased on Amazon. Someone pointed out that the above review was for a book (which is this one by the way [...]. The DVD is also an excellent product. After 3 months, my son still loves it and wants to watch it every now and then. I would like to point out that this DVD is very good helping my son catch up on his English skills (he is bilingual), because it has fun stories to keep him focused and the dialogue is simple and clear and easy to understand and follow for little English beginning speakers.

My Granddaughter started watching it when she was 16 months. She is now 21 months and she loves it. One of the first words she was able to say at 16 months was "Dora". She looks forward to seeing all of her "Dora" DVDs. And, the best thing about this DVD and all of her Dora DVDs is that once you put it in any DVD player, it takes off and plays on its own without you having to push a "play" button. Even once the three plus hour DVD ends, it will replay on its own without having to touch it, just give it a couple of seconds to get past the "FBI copying warning".

It's Dora...you either like this show or you don't. This DVD assembles eight of Dora's "greatest" adventures into one compilation. Picture quality, sound quality...blah, blah. Your kid doesn't care about this stuff. Here's what IS important: You can play one episode directly after another - when one episode ends, there's no need to go back to the main menu to start the next one. I have a personal preference for the early episodes of this series, which followed a pretty strict formula for plot progression. As the series moved into later seasons, even as the animation improved, I feel like it lost some of what made it great during those early seasons. All that said, this DVD is decent mix of early and later episodes. We bought this DVD to keep our toddler entertained for a few hours during a 2-day, 1,000 mile car trip. And the return. I'm not sure if it's a good thing to pump 8 consecutive episodes of ANY television show into a child, let alone a hyperactive program like Dora. HOWEVER - this DVD did keep our child entertained, to it was a successful purchase.

Dont go swiping my dora dvd! Dora is a great show. Brings back so many memories watching this show on Nickelodeon after school . So happy to be able to share this show with my kid. Great way to learn spanish, too!

My daughter loves Dora and friends. This DVD gives you eight different episodes, which when put into a dvd player in the car will keep the "Are we there yet??" moans to a minimum. It has even come in handy on cranky days when the little princess let's out "I don't wanna go to the...". A quick "Let's hop in the car and you can watch a Dora episode on the way." turns her frown upside down. The number of episodes vs. the low price of the DVD makes this a great purchase for us!

英語に触れさせたいと思い、4歳の娘に購入しました。 やはりアメリカで人気があるだけに面白い! ドーラちゃんが視聴者に「Do you see ◯◯〜?」と話しかけて、答えさせる間をとっているのがこのDVDの魅力だと思います。 ドーラちゃんの質問に答えなきゃ!となるので、自然に英語を発することが出来ますよ。 英語教室に通わせたり、ワークを自宅でやらせていない我が家の娘が、このDVDを繰り返し見たことで、発音がすごく良くなって驚きました。 個人的には、幼稚園年少〜小学生低学年向けだと思います。

散々見ているうちに、4歳の我が子がDORAにつられてスペイン語の単語を覚えていたｗ １から１０とかも突如スパニッシュ？でカウントしはじめ。。。DVD見ながら一緒に飛んだり跳ねたりとても気に入って繰り返しみています。DORAシリーズは、週に一回英会話に通うよりも娘の発語に影響を与えていると思います。
