Very nice trash can! I like the finish and it seems sturdy. I just got it a couple of days ago so I will revisit in a few months if it needs updating for some reason. As an added bonus my cats LOVE the box it arrived in. I was going to take it to the basement and break it down but one of them (I have 2) is parked in it a good bit of the day. Dean, my crazy tuxedo goes nuts in there chasing his tail in there. He has never chased his tail in his life that I know of and I have had them for 9 years. Fun to watch for sure. So I am very happy, I not only got a great new trash can that will help me reorganize my kitchen pantry but also now have new cat entertainment to boot for free. I have included a photo of where it is sitting behind my cabinets with the added bonus of the photobomb by the cat not currently sitting in the box.

We've tried a few other step-on trash cans and the step mechanism has always broken within a few weeks. So far, this one's worked great. We really like that there's a removable insert inside the stainless outer shell...this makes emptying the can and keeping it clean much easier than cans that don't have a removable liner.

It looks beautiful in my bathroom, and works well. I got the mini, and it's big enough to last me a whole week until next trash day. It works for keeping my nosy doggo out, and keeps any odors from spreading. Thank you!

It is very nice stylish ease of operation it is narrow a dog could knock it over. But I did not buy it for that I do not have a dog it is very sturdy

Might be an Amazon "Basics", but there is nothing basic about this trash can. I got sick of my old white plastic kitchen trash can and while this was $75, it was well worth it. I love the fact that it has a removable liner so you can clean it out every so often. And the slow close lid... No more squished fingers.10/10 would recommend.

Needed a new kitchen trash can, this Amazon Basics trash can did not disappoint. Everything about it exceeded my expectations.- High quality components, design, and construction.- Sized as advertised. This is a great price for a stainless trash can of this size. The can itself and the pedal are both sturdy. The lid provides security for dogs or other animals to not get in the trash. The lid also gently closes which is nice and secures trash odor. Being a previous owner of a stainless trash can that required batteries, it is so much more practical and convenient to have this stainless trash can that requires no batteries.

4 months finishing and no real complaints. The slow close hasn’t failed on me yet!
