Murphys Manufacturing Brainwave Deck Bicycle (Red Case) - Trick

I was a bit confused to receive a Mirage deck inside a Bicycle Brainwave Deck sleeve. Perhaps these are packaged upon sending? Returning with hopes of receiving the correct item. EDIT: My order was quickly corrected and I recieved the item I originally ordered. Great quality and a fun illusion.

Murphy's Magic is truly a magical maker of magic. They use Bicycle cards for their Invisible deck, other gag decks, and here, the Brainwave deck. Such superb production, I will buy from them again.

The trick is easy to learn. Nothing really to it. The only issue is that this deck does a single trick, and the effect is pretty cool but still, nothing too spectacular. You ask the spectator to name any single card from the deck. You then pull the deck out of the box and show them all the cards are facedown except one- the one they chose, and it is the ONLY card face up. Moreover, it’s the ONLY card with a red back in a deck of blue cards! That’s pretty cool. And the trick can be repeated with a new card pretty much right away. Any card they name, each and every time, will be the only card reversed with a different colored back. You don’t even have to turn the card back around after you do it the first time. The deck does all that for you. The deck is gimmicked for this trick specifically. It’s not hard to learn. The gimmick can wear out however, and if you are serious about this trick and want to keep it around for a long time, buy a “roughing stick”. It will keep this deck in working condition for a long time. There is also a tiny bit of memorization required to learn how to show off the right cards that the spectator calls out (but it’s as simple as counting to 12 and knowing the order of the spades, hearts, diamonds, and clubs).
