BBK 1737 Cold Air Intake System - Power Plus Series Performance Kit for Ford Mustang 4.0L V6 Chrome Finish

Like others mentioned, after installing and driving for a few miles the check engine light came on and stays on. 2010 Mustang. Had to install new mass flow air sensor from O'Reilly.. AutoZone part didn't fit. It's been working fine with no check engine light. Something about this aftermarket part doesn't like the OEM air sensor. *Use lock washers on screws or you'll bottom out or snap the OEM screws. BTW, BDK customer service was no help and didn't receive a call back, they need to better engineer this part. After the back and forth, finally satisfied.

I purchased this for my 2010 Mustang 4.0 V6. The installation was easy & quick, but make sure you install the included rubber molding around the shield where it could come into contact with the fender. At a low rpm launch with a standard it will vibrate, and without the rubber cushion you'll hear it. Overall I'm very pleased with the product and recommend it to anybody that wants to dress up their engine and gain a little more performance. Great quality at an affordable price. I've probably put over 1,000 miles on it since installing and haven't had any check engine issues.

When sent to me it appeared to be just thrown in the box with no bubble wrap or styrofoam. Not only that it was also dirty on the inside of the part. I bought it brand new so there is no reason for these thing to have been this way. Oh yeah and the part was defective. I assume they had already had the part returned by someone else because it was defective so they decided to resell it knowing full well it was not going to work.

Installed on my 07’ Mustang and gotta say I love this thing. Makes awesome Suction noises when I go through each gear and has improved my gas mileage just enough to be noticeable after about 2 in a half weeks as a daily driver. Installation was so easy I did it about 30 minutes just taking my time. My First BBK product and it’s great!

IT is not as easy to install as you might think . No instructions unless you visit the. "web site" that sucks . No explanation of the various parts . Didn't mention you had to take the radiator cover off and remove the bracket that holds in place > This to secure the heat shield . A ribber gasket you dont need for the air filter cone and a rubber gasket that one has to customize to make it fit. The whole thing was a bummer . Looks nice when done but a real PITA to instal....

Mass air flow sensor adapter was installed upside down and the intake would not work. Had to argue with the seller to get a full refund but they did come through with the refund.

It was easy to get the stock system out but getting this thing in was a bit harder than the videos made it seem. I ended up needing a second set of hands. All in it took about an hour. Don't forget to disconnect the battery either or you'll get the check engine light. Easy fix if you miss that though. Once it was in I took it for a test drive. The sound is great compared to the stock system, the power difference is notable-not too much but you feel it. And after two weeks of having it in I have noticed that I fill up the tank a little less.

This product looks, sounds and preforms incredible!! I highly suggest. Very easy to install, just takes a flathead screwdriver and a torque to take the old one off and new one on.

First off, I had read so many reviews about MAF sensors being mounted upside down, check engines coming on, questions on tune or no tune, metal inlet tube getting hot, I was skeptical at first. I can confirm that all of these comments are wrong Honestly, the fit was very good, I had to maneuver the shroud a bit to get it to fit, but nothing complicated at all. But for real, some in box instructions would be nice bbk. I personally didn't have a problem with the maf sensor being mounted upside down. I believe this was a problem in the very first kits, I'm pretty sure all kits ordered now are more than ok, unless it's old stock Also, no check engine lights. I do have an SCT tune, but I kept the setting under stock intake box just to see if it will throw any codes. As of now nothing. take the extra few seconds and undo the negative terminal so that the computer can relearn. I'm sure that's why I didn't get a check engine code. It will work without a tune. Just undo ur battery terminal before installing. That's all. And be sure you don't have any air leaks before youre throttle body. No rocket science. The metal tube does not get hot like all the internet "experts" say. After a drive I can touch the pipe, it's warm at best, but definitely not hot The whole kit fits nice. The chrome quality is superb, the phhhewwww noise it makes is epic, without a tune I noticed a slight increase in power, gonna tune it later on and see. I highly recommend. Do the job properly and you won't have any issues.

Added Performance is great! A couple of minor issues the install and the fit but nothing I couldn’t work around.

Installed on my 2010 mustang. Video Instructions easy to follow on Americanmuscle.com. Mild performance gain, just make sure to get a tight seal around the throttle body, because it can be difficult to hold in place and tighten at the same thing. Would recommend.

The MAF sensor holes did not line up properly and had to be turned upside down. Car stalls regularly. So I put the stocker back on.
