Easy install, great look, functions well, no plastic!
UPDATE: Took the Wing through the gorge at 95-100 and thought I was doing 75, even with my wife on the back poking me to slow down. In retrospect, that was a dumb move, but seriously, I really did think I was going slower until I glanced at the speedo at her insistence. Definitely well worth the money for the increased stability at every speed. ****************** I'm so tired of chromed plastic parts on a motorcycle so I was pleased to get this solidly-built, metal fork brace with metal fork protectors. The whole thing is beautiful, from the design lines to the manufacturing to the chrome finish. I wouldn't buy one just because it looks better than the chromed plastic, non-structural, fork protector, that came on the bike, but it certainly is a nice plus. The design made installation a snap without instructions, but the instructions had some pictures that made things even easier. As for functionality, I am certainly not an expert, but I have owned my Goldwing for almost 7 years and nearly 40,000 miles, so I know my bike fairly well. I like to take my turns tight enough to scrape the foot pegs, but noticed that at high speed (85-95 mph) corners felt a little less stable. I was hoping this would tighten things up a bit. Also, I have a pretty bad shimmy at 38 mph if I hold the bars loosely (a common complaint with Goldwings) so I hoped that this would reduce that shimmy since others have had that benefit with a fork brace. What I discovered was a noticeable increase in steering stiffness and response (about 25%), but this did not reduce the shimmy at 38. I admit I was disappointed that there was no improvement to the shimmy, but I don't often ride without my hands on the grips so it's not that big of a deal. I haven't had a chance to go on my favorite road at 95 mph yet, but will be happy to update this if there is an extraordinary improvement. At 75 mph there was some improvement so I expect good things at 95. This brace does everything it's supposed to do (clamp the forks together without adding tension between them) and it does so in a beautiful, easy-to-install product, so it deserves 5 stars. I recommend this brace to anyone willing to blow some change for a little less flex in the forks in order to get slightly better steering response; however, this part is certainly not a necessity for any Goldwing. Keep in mind that the Goldwing already handles really well for a large bike, and this brace won't turn it into a sports bike. If you decide to get one, Kuryakyn is a reliable company and this brace shouldn't disappoint. I'm happy with my brace, but I think a new windshield would have been more prudent.

Stabilized the front wheel
I have a 2005 Goldwing trike. The front wheel steering and forks seemed to have too much give. I read that many have found success with fork braces. I bought this, since Kury improved the design. It installed without a hitch and because of the way it is made, there is little chance of getting the forks misaligned. It is study and nicely chromed. The forks shields are built in and look great. And, it cured my imprecise steering.

Well made, easy to fit, looks good
Fitting: Very easy and if you're confused by the instructions provided there are several videos on Youtube. I smeared copper slip grease on all metal to metal surfaces, the screw threads and screw caps to aid fitment, avoid damaging the chrome and prevent corrosion on contact surfaces. The brace comes in 5 parts, 2 x half fork clamps for each fork and the brace itself which is adjustable. The Traxxion Dynamics product is way too pricey so I went for the latest Kuryakyn product. I'll therefore need to keep polishing the brace given Kuryakyn's reputation for chrome degradation. I decided against a similar priced 3 piece brace as it's non-adjustable and therefore can't accommodate production tolerances. Ride: My 2004 GL1800 A4 has uprated front and rear springs so the handling is pretty good for a half ton barge. However, at speed in a straight line I could wobble the handle bars without it transmitting to the front wheel which demonstrates that there is flex in the forks. With the brace fitted wobbling the handle bars now transmits to the front wheel so the flex has been eliminated. Why Honda never included a fork brace in production beats me, not to mention the original weak springs. Definitely recommended.

A definite upgrade
Solidly built and easy to install, it definitely helps with feeling more stable on dirt roads (I rode 4k miles the week after install and rode Valley of The Gods on my 01 Goldwing) I had hoped it might help tame the wobble around 35 mph but all around Definitely A Fantastic Purchase!

Quality brace that makes all the difference
Easy to mount. Looks factory. Makes a big difference in handling, especially at slow speed. I can't believe Honda did not install this to begin with, especially since they learned a long time ago on the 1200 that it was needed. Honda just has a cheap piece of plastic that looks like a fork brace but isn't. Honda must have been brain dead that day.

Nice upgrade
It was very easy to install and it has brought more stability the the bike in the front end. It defiantly looks better than the plastic that was there.
