So far a great replacement
An OEM new goes for $400+ so you can imagine my skepticism with this product. However comparing with my busted OEM shifter, it seems identical to design and quality. Installed with no problems, and shifts fine. Maybe the shift button feels a *little* different but nothing you can't get used to. I'll recommend, however will come back here if any issues arise in the future. Car - A 07 V6 Pony

Perfect fit! Can't tell the difference between it and OEM
This is kinda soon for me to be writing a review, but I just finished the install on a 2006 Mustang convertible. The Dorman unit is well made and looks just like factory. I removed my old broken and worn-out shifter and installed the Dorman. What a difference! The Mustang now solidly goes into gear, no more searching for the right spot. The unit lights up and a little red line shows you what gear you are in. Just like she did 170000 miles ago. I couldn't be happier. I will update this review if I encounter any issues, but I seriously do not expect any. The unit is built solid, shifts into gear nicely and just feels good. Very happy with my purchase and especially the price!

Great part.
Bought this for a 2007 ford mustang. Like all fords quality is garbage. This works like a charm. The key does not get stuck in the ignition and the gear leveler does not stick in park.

JUST LIKE STOCK!
Watched a youtube video for how to install in my 2006 Mustang Convertible. My old one was missing the black plastic piece and the shift indicator didn't light up anymore. Also the top of the shift lever had a crack in it which hurt my hand. Only difficult part was having the car up in the air high enough on jack stands to get under it. Remove the shift cable from the shifter and remove the piece that the shift cable presses against from the old shifter, 4 bolts and it's out. I DID have to take out the entire console (two pieces) but I needed to do that to update the radio anyway so win-win. Love it, buy it. Probably $400 from the Ford stealer (Dealer).
