Great for small or large spaces, sturdy, lightweight. Perfection
Perfect seating option for a small lanai or patio. When the recliner is in upright position it takes as much space as a normal chair. As you lean back the foot rest comes up to support your legs. I did find that I didn't have enough lumbar support. However. the fabric is so comfortable that I really didn't need a head pillow so, voila!, I'm using the detachable pillow as a lumbar support. This chair is all about options. Lots of positions from sitting upright to reclining. The position is easily locked when you find your sweet spot. I have an adjustable bed and a bad back so I'm used to the zero gravity feature. That was one of the biggest selling points when I looked at recliners. I was concerned about how much visual space a recliner would take up in my limited space. Try almost zip, nada. The fabric is sturdy but virtually transparent like a sunshade. You can see right thru. This was so unexpected and a visual delight. I love the seigle color (French for "rye"). My style is minimalist contemporary. It's like someone designed this chair just for me. There is a 2 year warranty so I'm glad I didn't pay for extra coverage. I bought 2 chairs. One arrived in 3 days. The 2nd should be here in 5 days. The chair was easy to unpack and intuitive to set up. No assembly required. I almost forgot to mention that the recliner easily folds up if you need to get it out of the way. It's not compact enough for the beach (in my opinion) but I bought it to use in my home. As I write this we are anticipating a possible hurricane. If you've ever had to lug all your outdoor furniture into your indoor living space then you know how happy I am that I can fold my recliners and lean against a wall taking up minimal space. I also love that this chair is still made in France and that it sells at a very reasonable price point. I'll update the review for sturdiness after I've had it for a while

A Must Have Therapy Chair
Sadly I am unable to purchase this further as they do not ship to HKG. The best zero gravity chair quality ever. I rested very well with this chair and it is almost the best therapeutic experience ever.

Great gravity lounging chairs.
My wife and I love these chairs. We purchased one last year for her birthday and this year we had to purchase a second. I hope that speaks loudly to how we love the design ease of use and comfort. Well-made product highly recommend!

Nice chair with one exception
Bought this chair just before Christmas, and it was about $25.00 more than it is now in January, but I thought it was worth it. Chair arrived very quickly and is ready to go right out of the box. It looked to be well-constructed, and I was happy with it. I am a big guy, and it was just a wee bit tight when getting out. I've used it for a few weeks outside in the Florida sun and humidity. Very comfortable, except for the getting out part. However, the one thing that is a problem is the right front plastic cushion on the bottom of the frame. There are four of them, and the one on the right will not stay on the frame. It is a compression fitting, and the cushion has a small spike that fits into a hole into the bottom of the frame. No matter what I do, the cushion falls off after one or two uses. I am thinking of just gluing it so it stays on. Otherwise a great chair. I ordered the XL size and it is on its way, and I am eager to use it.

Excellent Product
I bought 2 of these chairs as Christmas gifts for my boyfriend, to use on his boat. We haven't tried them aboard yet, but he LOVED them in the living room. We both thought they were extremely comfortable and sturdy - yet very lightweight for carrying. They appear to be very well built, top quality recliners. A bit pricey, but I've owned a couple of Lafumas for my home deck for years; they've held up very well, with no rusting or unusual wear & tear, so I trust the brand and don't mind paying more for a superior product.

Didn't last
While I love the concept of this chair - it's light, foldable, and incredibly comfortable - the quality was not up to par. In less than two years of occasional use, the chair tore along the seam and will now end up in landfill. Hoped for a much longer lifespan.

Really is much better
I have had several of the cheap copies of this Lafuma chair and they have been ok. This chair really is better. It’s design is sleeker more comfortable and actually locks in place quite easily and quite firmly, unlike all the chairs with the ratcheting plastic gizmo that always eventually stops working or never really worked very well. The clip system that they use to hold the fabric in place is much firmer than the bungee elastic cord versions and leads to a more comfortable and supportive feeling. My partner and I are about 5 foot six and 5 foot eight and neither of us weigh over 140 pounds and the chair is quite big enough and comfortable. I can even rest my heel on the foot rest at the bottom, if this was for a bigger person I don’t think I would be able to.

Not for those with lumbar issues
I purchased this chair as an alternative to standard camp or folding chairs. I wanted a way to sit outside that offered some semblance of lower back support. I thought it would be great to take pressure off my lower back. On the positive side, it is aesthetically pleasing and seems to be well made. However, this chair was the opposite of supportive. I had to add a fairly significant amount of lumbar support. Once the chair is in its full reclined position, it is comfortable and takes pressure off. However, trying to get up out of the chair is a recipe for re-injury. I'm a fairly average height for a woman (5'7), but my feet didn't touch the bars. It doesn't allow you to sit all the way upright - so I kind of had to shimmy and hoist myself forward and then put my body weight on my hands to lift out of the chair without tweaking my back (I am also average weight and in decent shape, so not a size or muscle strength issue). Bummed this chair didn't work for me.

This is our 2nd set. First lasted 15 years. None of the imitation brands are anywhere as comfy. Wasted a lot of money trying them. Worth the ridiculously high price. Only complaint is that the head rest is not padded enough. A towel fixes that.

Comoda ma no tengono bene i ferma posizione. Nella posizioni intermedie appoggiandosi allo schienale tende ad andare in dietro.

This is our third Lafuma chair in more than two decades - they are outstanding chairs that are comfortable and resilient to weathering (though eventually the elements take a toll). This iteration is lighter than earlier ones but seems just as good. Also impressed that something as large as a chair makes its way to my house via a click on Amazon. Delivery was via UPS, trackable and with good notifications.

Love the Lafuma chair. Bought this to replace an old one I had used for years. The only diffidence is, while it is lighter, the parts feel more “plastic” while my old feels more sturdy. Nonetheless, I love the chair.
