Case Pack: 3 Underberg Bottles Each (Packaging May Vary)

if you have never had one, you're in for a treat. It does NOT taste good. More like anise medicine mixed with vodka. BUT the digestive effects are instantaneous and very pleasant. It's an acquired taste so people love it or hate it. I drink a little bottle about once or twice a week so one full carton (120) lasts me a year. Thank goodness it is now imported to the US.

While it's fantastic stuff, a word of caution on ordering: I had wrong deliveries, anything from just 3 bottles to 30 bottles - rarely the 120. From different sellers (smallflower, bigfly), too. (6 orders total, 4 wrong, 2 right) Amazon has always been great in handling the returns but it does get bothersome to deal with this. Especially for people ordering the first time:the product description is confusing but it clearly should contain 120 of the tiny delicious bottles. Still 5 stars - the product is great, no question.

I like the stuff because no matter what causes your stomach upset Underberg settles it in about 30 seconds. - every time. Where did the stuff come from? 200, 300, 400 years ago there was no water conditioning in Germany, no central water system. All water for daily consumption came from streams and rivers. With a minor problem - without toilets most people relieved themselves up streams which the local brewery, housewives, Gasthouses used for cooking, beer and apple juice dowmstreams. Peoples stomachs were mostly hardened to the onslaught but sever food poising was par for the course every day. Enter Underberg. No way to know whether it was a monk or some wise old woman - but somebody figured out which weed, kraut, mushroom etc. countered all that and combined it into Underberg with bit of alcohol. Thank You! And yes, that's how long the stuff's been around.

120 bottles of Underburg, 20 ml glass bottles, in packets of 3 each. These standard boxes (labeled for redistribution) event if the larger crate says not to, come in 4 bricks of 30 bottles each in shrink wrap. Just the thing for a display, use the unit you like, 3X or 30X and the freedom to break the 30's into 10x 3's.

It was supposed to be 120 bottles of Underberg, 4 x 10 x 3. But it was only 30, just one-fourth of what was pictured.

This bitter has gentian in it, which is the same herbal in Moxie soda, a good neurotonic! The case pack is worth the price.
