EMART 8.5x5ft T-shape Backdrop Stand

This was what I had hoped: a simple, convenient stand to hold up my post pandemic videoconferencing green screen. It is a T-shape design, so not as stable as the large U shaped stands, but far lighter, more portable, and easy to put up and take down. Everything is tightened with knurled screws which I prefer to snap or friction fittings. This works ideally to hold my large oval tensioned green screen behind me. It is light enough that I can fine tune it's position from my office chair, and I can move it aside quickly. It comes apart in less than a minute and can be packed into its carry case easily as there are dedicated places where everything goes. The package came with four utility clamps which was also a nice feature. The carry bag also has Velcro straps to allow it to adapt to adding other accessories into it, keeping things tight so they do not rattle.

If you are reading these reviews and feel discouraged by those whom are complaining about the clamps, please ignore. These clamps are not too small. They are exactly as pictured in the product description. No, they do not 'clamp' all the way around the bar. They are not supposed to. These clamps are designed to a) allow you to drape your cloth backdrop and , b) not clamp all the way to ensure your backdrop doesn't buckle. Furthermore, posters can be used. The trick (although not a trick at all) is to push your poster up to where the the clamps hug the bar. As far as a collapsible backdrop, that normally comes with loops, so there shouldn't be an issue. Otherwise, be creative. This stand is easy to assemble and completely functional. If you need something affordable, have limited space or want something that's easy to travel with, you found your winner here.

This is a great starter set. Easy to assemble and take down. Sturdy if shooting inside but a little flimsy in my opinion. Good bang for the buck for new photographers.

I purchased this to hold a backdrop for a party photo booth. It comes in a carrying case and is very lightweight. It was very easy to put together and it is very easy to adjust the height. It is reasonably stable, considering the general configuration. I wanted something tall and wide enough to handle several adults in the photo, but I didn't want something with 2 legs because I wanted it to easily fit in a smaller space, which it did very well. The customer service is excellent. 3 of the "helper clamps" that hold a backdrop to the stand arrived damaged. I reached out to the company, and they immediately sent me replacement clamps quickly and at no charge to me. Good product and excellent customer service. Recommend.

This T-Stand is super easy to put together, easily slides through rod sleeves, it's very versatile in expanding to 8 feet, and collaspes down easily to fit whatever size of tapestry you need to hang. The 4 clips also keep longer, heavier tapestries to stay more secure on the T-Stand. I can see why people with a photograph business loves this product, because I love it for our church ministry tapestries! Storing away the T-stand is fast easy and space saving. I ordered this to hold up a "green screen" fabric drape but I can see that it will also be useful to hold up banners or posters in either portrait or landscape format. It was easy to assemble (it is almost fully assembled when delivered), and appears solidly built. I would recommend this for indoor use only because it is lightweight and could be knocked over by a strong breeze. Would recommend to others.

We're doing some videoconferencing we bought a backdrop for. This product had good reviews and was very economical, so we started here. Besides the low cost, another benefit is the ease to build up. The vertical arm telescopes out so you don't have to deal with pieces you might forget or lose. And the tripod base can be positioned with a smaller base circumference to take up less floor space. Another plus, this company gives you FOUR (not two or three) clips to hold your backdrop. Our backdrop is only five feet wide but we need all four clips to keep it from buckling at the top. We can't imagine getting along with only two or three clips. The clips are also pretty sturdy. They easily hold up a light fabric (cotton) backdrop so should have no problem holding up paper or thin vinyl. But many other reviews for similar products mention the big drawback of the single tripod system--rotational instability. The slightest breeze (indoors) causes our backdrop to sway. This is evident to our viewers (already tested) and, therefore, very unprofessional. Also, depending on how tall your display is (ours is 8-feet), if the top crossbeam isn't square (parallel to floor), this can be obvious and further ruin the professionalism of your display. We've been trying, unsuccessfully, since getting the product yesterday to square the top crossbeam. But as soon as we get it level with the floor, because the vertical pole rotates even when we think we've secured the locknuts, the whole system falls out of whack again. While we appreciate the price of this backdrop system, it just isn't working for us. We're short on space but think the TWO tripod systems with backdrop holders along both the top and the sides would be far more stable--and stability improves professionalism. Unfortunately, we think we'll be returning this system to Amazon.

Honest review. I bought this, no discount. Item is a good value. Works as described. Be aware it is heavier than most light-stands.

I bought a stand for my backdrop and it was too big and heavy. I needed something small and compact and in walked this item. Fabulous. So easy to assemble and adjust at different heights. You can either have a T-Bar or just a single bar. My backdrop is heavy and it held well on this item. Reasonable price and good item.
