Perfect For My Needs - Love The Look and Feel
Love the look of these bars in our bathroom. The diameter feels just right for grabbing. Very sturdy and not slippery when my hands are wet. I have the 16" bar on the door just outside the shower so I have something to grab onto as I move my right leg in and out. And the 24" bar inside the shower which I hold onto as I move my left leg in and out. Easy 5 stars from me.

Serves multiple purposes, but most importantly, keeps you safe!
I have these in all my bathrooms in the shower and tub areas. The smooth, rounded finish provides an easy and comfortable grip for assistance. I also have them horizontally in the back of the shower and bath areas to not only serve for my assistance but also to hang my washcloth and my back brush. So they serve as grab bars and towel bars too. I can't be two purposes for one item!! The brushed nickel finish is quality and the bars themselves are substantial, providing confidence for me in the bathroom. Lastly, they are stylish, but at the same time a little inconspicuous in that they don't draw attention. They just wait in the background to you help when needed. :-) As for installation, my contractor has never once complained about them. In fact, he said I made a good choice and refers this particular brand/style of grab bars to other customers now too. If my contractor thought a product was difficult or unsafe for me to use, he would surely let me know. I have both, 18 inch and 16 inch, but mostly 16 inch. Over the years, my contractor has installed 7 of these life savers in three bathrooms so far. We have one more bathroom left to remodel and we will probably install 3 more there. When I find something that works for me I usually don't change the course. I buy what I know from experience works!!! As far as grab bars go, this particular brand/style is the one I purchase for my home. If you care about yourself and/or your family that may need assistance at some point (could be anyone, at any age) these grab bars are the way to go, safe and comfortable to use.

Very pleased with this grab bar.
This grab bar is great. I installed it in a new bathroom. The installation was easy with no surprises. I was able to mount it directly to studs behind the drywall, so it is very sturdy. It matches the other fixtures in the rest of the bathroom pretty well. For the price, it is a great value. If I need to install a grab bar in the other bathrooms in the house, this will be the first thing I consider. I am very pleased with it so far.

No ridges
I ordered the item that the first picture showed ridges like the other one in my shower that I wanted to match, but I received a smooth one. As another reviewer said this is not brushed nickel. It is brushed stainless. I had bought a brushed stainless earlier but my wife wanted brushed nickel like the one already in the shower. I ordered this one and it looks exactly like the brushed stainless I had bought earlier.

Has grip on the bar for Safety
Nice dirty handle. Has grip the handle. That helps with holding on. It’s more dressy in the bathroom. Doesn’t look like a hospital bathroom.

Great quality
We recently had a new walk in shower installed in our guest bathroom. The company uses these safety bars. Our masterbath shower does not have safety bars and I asked our installer what he recommended. He said these bars are secure and can withstand the weight and pressure! So I ordered two for our shower! They are awesome! I really recommend these great quality bars!

Well Designed & Ornate. Recommend it, but ONLY if it's installed with long exterior screws into STUDS on BOTH sides.
Outstanding grab bar. I am a fussy shopper so I analyze products very carefully. I also am 66 and a carpenter by trade. This is very ornate (make sure the finish of the bar matches the finish of your showerhead, drain, etc. I don't care what the instructions say, you want to install this bar with exterior screws going at least 1 1/2" of the screw being into the stud. CRITICALLY important. Figure out the most likely place in your shower where you might slip. This will dictate whether to buy 1 or 2, how long the bar should be, etc. Now locate where the studs are using a decent stud finder. You DO NOT want you sustaining a bad injury or your life being dependent on some flimsy toggle bolts, or ANY other type of picture hanger. You know what I am saying. If a bar does not fit exactly horizontally or vertically, remember that you can install these diagonally. What matters is that you get at least 1 1/4" of a good quality, exterior (rust resistant) screw into the studs on both sides. Forget the instructors here. You need at least 2 and preferably 3 screws on both sides. Now you know how many bars to order, what finish to order them in, and lastly, how long it will be. Finally, install the bar using a generous amount of a good quality bathroom approved caulking compound. You do NOT want water getting behind the bar and into the installation hardware. Buy a clear type if the caulk will be visible. Don't skimp on anything. Your life is too important. I felt a great sense of relief when I showered after installing this bar. The total cost = under $50., which a small amount to pay for piece of mind.
