Good for cheapo tubeless with Stan's and Gorilla tape on a WTB SpeedDisc 29 inch rim
This tire mounted up nicely (not necessarily easily) to a WTB SpeedDisc 29 inch rim in a cheapo tubeless setup with Gorilla tape on the rim (it's not a tubeless rim) and 3oz of Stan's sealant. Will update later with performance comments once I have a few miles on it. Update March 1, 2018 So far so good. After the first 6-mile ride, I did lose quite a bit of air pressure (started with 60psi, ended with 20psi) as the sealant was sealing the tire and bead, but aired it back up to 60psi and did not notice any pressure loss over the next couple of rides over the past week. All of these rides have been road or paved trail so far (just breaking stuff in), so no real off-road trail use to report yet. If I were to do this over again, I would probably use 4oz of Stan's sealant because of the inside surface area of the tire (29x2.4 is more surface area than a normal tire). Update March 18, 2018 No complaints, no sidewall sweating that I've seen on other non-tubeless tires that are run in a tubeless set. I've ordered another one (I was just running it in the front previously) so I'll be using these as my primary trail tires this season. The sidewall is a bit thicker than the other tires I used, which gives these a better feel at lower pressure. I'll definitely be using 4oz of sealant when I mount the rear tire. Update October 10, 2018 I own 3 of these now (all 29x2.4). I ran these tubeless all season on both WTB and RhynoLite wheels. They are NOT light, but traction on the trail and over roots is awesome. No flats, no burps, no problems. If you're not concerned with weight and want a tire that will take whatever you dish out, this is the one for you. If you remount these (or any tires that has Stans buildup on them) you must pick the latex off the bead or the tire won't seat. I learned that the hard way.

great bang for the buck if you looking for this type of tire
great product at great price and fast shipping. good tire for the price. grips good on most surface. the tire is not made to corner to sharp and to low, you might get the tire to slip when cornering to sharp and low. not compared to Maxxis tires that the side knobs are much more lower, so you can really lean low while cornering and your tire won't slip at all, since Maxxix tires are very predictable. else that, the tire is really good and the wear is slow. great bang for the buck if you looking for this type of tire. might have slow and resistance rolling, since the tire has a lot of knobs and heavy too. but if you put tire on electric bicycle than there is no issues.

Perfect for dry, loose, rocky, dirt type of trials
I ride trails in West Texas, El paso area. Very dry, loose rock, loose dirt/sand mix. They are holding up great and the traction is predictable which helps in case you need to counter steer on a slip or just drive it through. I would definitely buy again. Price is great for the quality.

Good tire, would buy again.
These are called 2.4" wide tires, but they are more like 2.2" on my 23mm wide rims. I like these though, inexpensive, durable and heavy for my training purposes. Tire offers grip and then more grip, tire is not a race tire, but it is a fun tire.

Beefy tires that grip!
After doing some research on tires that are good on loose, wet, roots, and some muddy surfaces... I decided to give the CST Rock Hawks a try. I got the 29 x 2.4 for the front and the 29 x 2.25 for the rear. They arrived and I was very pleased with the build and durability of the rubber on the tires. A really nice beefy tire meant to take some serious abuse on the trail. Her in Oregon we have lots of roots, rocks and muddy conditions. These tires really grip. In fairly dry, slightly tacky conditions they do not loose their grip when leaned over. They surprisingly roll pretty easily. I was expecting them to be quite a bit slow rolling, but they spin up well. I'm looking forward to taking these out in the mud in a few weeks when the rains begin. So far...very satisfied!

Great Rock Tire
Great rock tire. It is a little heavier than expected but that's what you get with a wire bead tire. Like its name states this tire excels in loose rock. It has a very sticky compound which is awesome in the shale and sandstone rocks I ride. They only thing I have noticed is because of this they loves to pick up sticks and branches. This tire is surprisingly smooth on pavement as well. I would recommend this tire as an upgrade to factory rubber. Its now been well over 200 miles on these tire and all I can say is I Love these things! On single track they really excel. Always a sure grip in the corners and with landings after catching air. Oh, and by the way they don't pick up debris anymore. Must have been a new tire thing. LOL.

Inexpensive and very knobby!
Very knobby tires, good if you don't want a skinny front tire! Definitely made me feel more confident when it came to downhill braking, and it's quite durable. Unfortunately my mountain bike got stolen, but if I ever get one again, I'll probably switch to 27.5 bike. 29 just seems a bit too big! Not the easiest to maneuver in my opinion. I think CST has the 27.5 size for this tire though!

Great all-season mountain bike tire
These have been great tires on my bike. I live in northern Utah and ride on a trail by my house most days throughout the year (all 4 seasons). I bought these tires mostly for inclement weather conditions and they perform very well. Also, they're a lot more durable than the cheaper tires that came with the bike. For the price, you can't go wrong with these tires.

Excellent traction on loose and uneven terrain. Chews through muck and gets you where you want to go. Good bang for the buck.

Tires are on the heavy side, but rock solid. Traction is incredible. Awesome in the sand and loose rock.
