When applied at night lips are soft all day, and I typically have flaky lips ( I do drink enough water) but this keeps the flakes at bay

If I were on a deserted island and can only bring 2 things, I always say chapstick and water. My lips are not cracked and or anything to the extent, I just always used chapstick. Used every kind. Mehhh. But this one is a wowww. This will forever be on my nightstand. My lips are perfect and feel hydrated finally for longer than an hour. You will not regret this purchase. It’s like the heavens kissed your lips goodnight. Finally, something that actually works without reapplication. Have fun and be well.

My lips are perpetually dry and chapped. I think it’s caused by some of my medications that are extremely drying to my system. I am forever searching for my Holy Grail lip treatment (you should see my lippie collection - I might be able to set some kind of record!) Anyway, I saw this lip repair balm on one of those BuzzFeed lists of items you must have from Amazon, and I read a bunch of reviews, and figured I’d try it. The balm comes in a little pot-like jar with a screw top, and no applicator or spatula, so beware: if you’re like me and you don’t like to stick your finger in lip balm jars to use the product, you will want to get a small cosmetic spatula or lipstick brush. The consistency of the repair balm is thick - firmer than petroleum jelly. If you warm your applicator a little bit, it makes it easier to scoop a little bit out. A little goes a long way, which makes this a good value for your money. There is no scent and no taste, which is fine with me. I left one star off because the product has a weird texture for a lip balm. It’s grainy - like it feels a bit like a very weak, mild lip scrub. I don’t know if it’s supposed to be like that, but I have gotten other balms that have been that way and was told that can happen with extreme weather changes (in temperature.) It doesn’t affect the efficacy lip balm, and after a while, it does dissolve. I’ve heard that if you warm the jar up a bit by putting it in a pot of very hot water for a few minutes, it should melt it all down and then will be smooth after it cools. I haven’t tried that with this one, but I have some that with another lip balm that I bought online. It just feels grainy for a short time, so I’ve just dealt with it. As far as performance ,it does make my lips feel soft and hydrated, and it does last a little bit longer than some other lip balms I’ve used, but I wouldn’t say it’s my holy grail lippie. I put it on before I go to sleep, and it is gone by morning. When I use it during the day, I have to reapply fairly often. Overall, it’s a good, moisturizing lip balm for dry and chapped lips, and it’s worth the price, I guess. I don’t feel like it’s significantly better than most of the other lip balms out there. I do wish the result lasted longer than it does.

I had a split lip for a couple weeks, trying to let it heal naturally at first and then using Vaseline to no avail. After one night of using this, my lip actual started to heal and the split was closing up. You can use this during the day too, not just night time(but it’s more effective at night since you aren’t doing anything but sleeping). Easy to apply; just a small and thin scoop out of the container is enough. Not a horrible smell which is VERY, nice. It’s ointment-like so you’ll want to either wash your finger or wipe it with a towel/paper towel/napkin after application.

If I could give this ten stars I would. I have severe chapped lips. It starts every fall and won't stop until summer. I have tried more lip products than I can count and my lips were still cracked and bleeding. I was searching Amazon and came across this product. Reviews were good but I wasn't expecting much. Since all the other products I've tried have done nothing over the years. Within two days my lips were good. I use it now as a maintenance every night and I will never ever use any other lip product again! If anybody in my family or friends ever ask me or say they have chapped lips I'm sending them to this brand. 100% the best lip care product I've ever used. Biggest point it works!

Smells/tastes like vanilla play-doh. It’s a little off-putting sometimes. I like to apply generously to my lips especially corners of my mouth where I used to get cracks. I did not experience any irritation, breakouts, or other negative side effects. The jar is cute and small. I like jars these days because I like to scoop up every little ounce left inside. None wasted. The consistency/texture is solid wax, similar to lip balms in a stick. It is gritty but I don’t mind. It melts on my lips during application. Weirdly I kind of enjoy that texture. As if I’m gently exfoliating. It’s not a matte finish as it claims. How could it be? It is a lip balm. It isn’t high shine or juicy like a gloss so I can see why it's called "matte." It has a subtle sheen. It is lightweight, non-sticky and comfortable on the lips. This could be used daytime. I want something a little bit more moisturizing or thick especially at nighttime. This is not it. I think this lip repair night treatment could be popular among men. They usually don’t like intense moisturizers. My lips are not currently in need of repair so I do not have an opinion when it comes to that. I am using it as a preventative. So far it is effective at that. Overall, it's decent quality but I don't think I'll repurchase this lip repair for these reasons: (1) playdoh smell/taste (2) not moisturizing enough for nighttime. I love O’Keeffe’s other products such as Working Hands and Healthy Feet. I want to try their body lotion next! ----------------- *UPDATE/EDIT* (Dec 2024) I am currently using their unscented lip balm in a stick format and I am liking it. It has no weird smell/taste. It feels more moisturizing surprisingly.

Absolutely love this. It's not a one and done application. I use it at night and throughout the day. I take meds that dry out my lips as well as my skin. This is the best weapon to combat the dryness. As to those complaining about the small size, it's quite easy to read what you're getting.

I love O'keeffee because I have the Working Hands cream and it works magic. This one though gave me allergic reactions all the time. Even after a week I tried it again and it's the same.

Ayuda a exfoliar los labios y a que estén más hidratados, se nota el cabo si lo pones en la noche para el día siguiente cero resequedad. Muy buen producto.

Great lip repair, results within hours! My lips were sore and peeling from walking in the cold weather. I could feel it starting to work once applied. Next day, I feel the difference, my lips no longer hurt. By the second day, all better. I'm continuing to apply to maintain moisture. The product is expensive, but, only need to use a small amount so this should last a few months. I recommend.
