KidCo Configure and Hearth Gate Extensions (9", White)

Bought this to extend the gate for my kid's playroom. LOVE this gate and the extension works perfectly with the KidCo Northstar gate . I have two small dogs and a very strong boy and this has a very sturdy frame and a little pop button on the ends that allow you to move it around to shape the gate however you want and then lock it tight so it never moves again. I have been using gates before my baby came to keep the dogs in certain rooms of the house and this is the best gate we have had so far. Best of all, it isn't ugly! This item preforms exactly as it should. The gate system (walk through gate, extensions and wall mount brackets) does fit any opening, was easily installed and easy to clean. I ordered exactly the length I needed so there was no wasted extensions or money. The system exceeded my expectations on slim line design, durability and functionality. It is a little expensive but worth the money for the piece of mind it created, keeping the puppies off the carpet when unattended! We have 1 gate,4-24" extensions, 1-9" extension and 2 wall mount kits that keeps them in the dining room. I would recommend this system to anyone with pets or children for any area of your home. We got this product for our 2 year old's play area. It's not cheap but it sure does its job. We just set it up for the play area and our son could get a little aggressive with the gate like a little monkey trying to go through the cage but so far it seems pretty good. Only problem of this product so far is that the part to assemble the locking caps for the gate could get pretty tight and it feels like I'm going to bent my nails back and the instruction says it should come off easily pinching while lifting but not all of them work as they say it should. So I give 4 stars.

The gate is easy to install. You will have to put 4 screws into the wall to ensure it is secure and that the toddler can't yank it down, but it was very easy. The gate is easy to operate. It closes and locks automatically. I would recommend this to family and friends.

This extension was exactly what we needed with the gate. The way the gate can pivot between various panels is great. We were able to surround the stairs, allowing foot space to come down to the floor and still accommodate my husband's recliner. Without using the larger 24" extension it would not have been possible. So no baby stair climbing and piece of mind without having to rearrange the whole living room. Even though the gate is longer it still seems secure and sturdy.

PERFECT!! Our upstairs staircase isn't flush with the wall which made finding a gate VERY tricky!! The extension allowed us to make our staircase safe for our 18 month little girl. It's durable and easy to put together. We're actually buying a second one to put around our fireplace!!! Thank you!

We installed a gate around our coal stove to keep our kids from getting hurt. We were in need of a small extension to complete our gate, this worked perfectly. The black finish looks great and the metal construction works well in the high heat enviroment. Great piece of mind!

This is pretty much the only baby gate available that will fit any gap. It is easy to use, easy to put in, and performs as expected. As a bonus it also looks nicer than 90% of other baby gates on the market (plastic, gray, ugly). We had 70", 90" and 60" gaps we needed to fill with these gates and were amazed at how well they worked.

Great system, easy to install. Overall it’s pretty secure. Though not totally wiggle proof, the angle locking mechanisms are surprisingly secure. Thanks Kidco!
