Was skeptical on spending more than $20 on a watch. I've always used cheap ones because they would get beat up when working. I finally decided to get something built to last. I looked at local stores like academy and the Mall. They had this watch for $130!!! I decided to check amazon and sure enough it was reasonably priced. The stores would not do price matching. I chose this watch due to the features it had: -Solar powered (never needs a battery) -Atomic time kept (exact time) -Digital (digital duh) -Black. (Dark chrome and flat black) I really liked this design, it's not extra large or huge like other G-Shock watches, This watch is a decent size. What I noticed right away was the clarity of the LCD display. It's clear compared to the other watches I've owned. It was easy to follow the instructions to change the watch settings. The neat feature is when you tilt you arm 40 degrees from being parallel to the ground, the indigo light automatically turns on. So far I've had it for a few days and seems to work great. This watch seems well built and meant to last. I would recommend this watch to anyone looking for a nice affordable G-shock that has neat features. ***update*** I’ve had this watch for 4 years and it’s still working great! It’s been through a lot or hard labor and outside elements. The band is still intact, buttons still work. Everything still works. This was a great deal! Awesome watch!

Great watch, fits good lightweight. Perfect for everyday wear. Used to be an Apple Watch user but I was tired of charging and I just want reliability and ease. No charging perfect value, not spending hundreds of bucks. Works well, wear it all day for workouts, in the pool swimming still good. Sporty watch.

A very capable watch at a good price. The instruction manual is very small print, I recommend a you-tube video for instructions. Using the watch is very easy and once set up, you need not revisit it because it is atomic and solar powered. I would buy it again.

A very good friend of mine had this watch and I asked him about it, and he told me all about it and how much he loved it. He is a techie and nerd just like me. We engineers and Ham radio operators always want the best gadgets and a good watch is one of them. Never need to set or change the time, easy to read, charges by sunlight, not a bad thing I can say! Everytime I now use and look at this watch, I say to myself and others.... I LOVE this watch! I like the total all black because the chrome trim one takes away from the display and it somewhat a distraction, the ALL black face watch as shown here is the one my friend had and the same one I got and I am very very happy with it. It also STAYS on your arm and does not slide around or move upside down on your arm. I love that and the plastic band is very comfy! So glad I found this watch. I now tell all my techie, nerd, engineer friends about this watch when I see them, Amazon had the best price too than any local store!

I have always had Timex Ironmans my entire life. I never got a G-Shock because I didn't see much benefit over the Timex. but I am 99% in love with this watch after owning it for a few months now. The things that I love are: 1) Solar - every time I change the battery on my Timex it became less water resistant. this watch arrived with the battery indicator on high and it has not moved from there since I owned it. Even though I work about half the time on overnight shifts. 2) Atomic - No more wondering if you have the exact right time. The watch regularly sinks with the atomic clock almost every evening regardless of where I have it in my house. When around some the equipment I use it work it won't sync. But for the most part, it reliably does it's job. 3) All black - This model looks so much nicer in my opinion than the different variations of the same watch that have colored accents on them. It looks better for most occasions. 4) Large display - One of the major factors for me never considering a G-Shock was that the numbers on the display were always extremely small. I appreciated the large numbers on the Ironman. But this model has adequately sized numbers that are not difficult to see in any lighting condition. 5) Indiglo style backlight - I always loved the Timex backlight. It is bright and evenly lit so seeing the time in complete darkness is not an issue. All of the G-Shocks I ever looked at had some little dim backlight that shown from the side and did not illuminate the entire of watch face. That was a no go for me. This G-Shock has the same Indiglo style as the Timex. The only complaints I have about the G-Shock is that the timer function only allows you to set a minimum countdown time of one minute. There is a very specific task at my job that requires the countdown of 30 seconds. This watch simply does not allow you to set a timer for 30 seconds. It seems like that should be a relatively easy thing to incorporate into the module, but Casio for some reason has decided that no one needs to count down less than one minute. For that reason, I have given the watch four stars instead of five. All in all, I could not be happier with my purchase. I highly anticipate that this watch will be going strong many many years from now.

I was in need of a tough watch for work and tried a few different brands in my collection. This watch was always on my mind but kept myself from purchasing due to bulk and resin. It had me thinking not very comfortable, or that it might turn out into a regret purchase that should not have happened. Well I was wrong on all accounts it is super comfortable right of the hop the band doesn’t need to wear in like other watches. The features amazing it took seconds to get signal and setup my watch to time and date. The light is bright enough to see everything. Highly recommended purchase. And not a huge watch

I bought this to replace my older generation g-shock and because of the tough solar system. So far so good, it's hard not to love this watch, both design and functionality are marvelous.

Tengo ya más de 6 meses usándolo, en mi trabajo me siento en la ventana por lo que mi batería siempre está en máximo, vivo en Monterrey donde hay sol la mayoría del año, incluso en el invierno como actualmente, entonces no me tengo que preocupar por baja batería jamás. El hecho de que nunca tenga que reemplazar la batería hace que por ende no me tenga que preocupar porque pierda grados de resistencia al agua eventualmente. El color y tipo de reloj hace que funcione entonces fiestas, trabajo, gimnasio y actividades en el exterior. Por su cualidad atómica, se me sincroniza todas las noches de manera que tengo un reloj que jamás va retrasado, va tan exacto como el reloj de internet, trabajo en logística y hace que donde sea que esté, siempre llegue a tiempo a mis llamadas y no tenga que depender de mi celular para consultar una hora certera al manejar, en elevadores, reuniones etc.
