I have been baking for several years now and have used all kinds of vanillin powders, vanilla extracts, etc. I've found that vanillin from Solvay tastes the best and is very easy to work with. Its solubility is wonderful creating a very homogeneous batter. I have a few other friends in the food industry that make shakes and beverages on a mass scale and they also prefer the Solvay brand compared to other brands that come from china.

Solvay product is the only Vanillin approved because they do not use toluene in it's production like all the Chinese producers do and Chinese product has traces in the finished product. Solvay has zero toluene ppm.
