great album!

Love the group, Bread! They were never given the notice they deserved. As a teen, many of David Gates' songs were about the angst of a love gone wrong. Just exactly what most teenagers were experiencing. Brings back memories of a simpler time.

Plastic case arrived cracked, but no matter as the music is perfect! A wonderful compilation of their first 10 years. Took me down memory lane, as I owned this in a cassette many moons ago. This CD really takes me down memory lane, back to when I saw them at the Britt Fest. There was, is, and never will be, harmony like that again! Just amazing what beautiful music together, written and sung in such sweet harmony. Miss Mary's voice...All the tunes are classics, but "Puff" makes me cry, so sad at the end. The haunting sounds of "500 Miles", and "Blowin' in the Wind", along with the rousing hope in "If I Had a Hammer", and my favorite "Day is Done" I could go on and on about each and every one, but the "answers" are all this CD. Maybe my ears are just getting old, but I don't think this sounds as good as my reel-to-reel tapes that I had when I was a kid. But it is pretty good. It is the best Peter Paul and Mary CD I have, and I have several. Update: I prefer the mixing on this CD to other PPM CDs (In the Wind and Very Best of PPM) with one exception. The mixing for Blowing in the Wind on this CD has a number of sections where Mary appears to be singing almost by herself and at a low volume. On the other CDs these sections have all the singers and are at a normal volume.

Music from the great threesome! I loved their music when I was a teenager and still do today. Some of it is timeless. I was never a hard rock fan and folk music appealed to me then and now. I like most genres of music and enjoy a lot of different performers. From Enya to Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, I love many singers and their music. I am not interested in most rock music and prefer instrumental or soothing vocals. I think that is part of the reason why I like this disc. The years these songs were sung were hard years for many people and some of these songs helped us get through those hard times. Being active in causes and helping people these songs influenced a lot of people to be better and do better. (And have fun doing it!)

Just received it. Have not listened yet but it has the titles I wanted.

Jedes Lied ist schön und seit langem bekannt, gut zum Mitsingen. Diese drei Musiker haben wirklich echt klasse Musik gemacht.

Mom was wanting this album forever and she was very happy when I seen this album being sold on Amazon. CD was used and the CD itself looked like new. Shipping from the USA was very fast also. Overall another great deal found on Amazon.

super par contre j'ai un souci avec les livreurs envoyés par Amazon (pas tous mais au moins 2/4) ne sonne pas et/ou dépose les colis pas a l'abris vraiment dessus !!!
