Compatible for NAD - VISO HP50 NAD HP50 Headphones Review: Not identical - and that's a good thing - I love my NAD VISO HP50 headphones - they really do sound like you're in a room with speakers and excellent acoustics! However, comfort has always been an issue. I've modified my headband with padding and added a ring of thick cable under the earpads to increase interior volume so my ears weren't pressed against the drivers. While the ear pads themselves were comfortable, they were a bit small and they've always been difficult to wear for long. I put up with it because of the great sound. And then my pads began flaking out of the blue - one week they were fine, the next the pleather was crumbling. Time to replace. I've tried the thick and regular brainwavz pads (I had some on hand), they're comfy and fit OK but ruin the sound, muddling it. Apparently sony mdr 7506 pads will work, but I came across these ones on desertcart and decided to give them a try. They're more oval, and in fact look like sony pads. But they fit. And they're notably more comfortable than the originals since they're a little thicker and keep my ears off the drivers but have approximately the same size opening. Most importantly, I can't really hear a sound difference, or at least no decline in quality. The bass is about the same, the sound stage extended maybe just a touch due to moving the drivers a touch further from my ears. But that warm "speakers in a room" sound remains the same. These are inexpensive, comfortable, and keep the magic of the original sound that is unique to the NAD HP50s. Your original pads will probably fail too, so keep these in mind. Review: Great Value - These are slightly larger than the originals but are still comfy and don't change the sound very much.

Easy replacement part
My original pads were disintegrating and I wasn’t even sure they were replaceable. These fit perfect and we’re easy to install. I had to look up a “how to” on YouTube, but it came down to peel the old ones off and stretch the new ones on. Great value.

Degrades the Sound
I really wanted to like these replacement ear pads. I love my NAD HP50 headphones, but the original ear pads wore poorly (the "pleather" covering degraded quickly) and they weren't comfortable for long periods of listening. Unfortunately, these replacement pads completely change the sound signature, and not in a good way. PROS: These replacement pads appear to be well made and closely replicate the appearance of the original pads. They look great on the headphones. They also seem to be a bit more comfortable than the original pads. CONS: The sound. With these pads mounted on the HP50, there's a lot of bass but it's muddy and boomy, unlike with the original pads. But the biggest problem is in the treble. With these pads the treble is recessed and completely lacking in detail. As a result, the sound is lifeless and dead. The HP50s with the original pads were exceptionally lifelike and neutral, a real pleasure to listen to. These replacement pads just killed my interest in listening through the headphones; the sound is dead, boring, simply doesn't hold my interest. At this point, I think the only way to regain the sound I loved from the HP50s is to buy replacement original pads from NAD. They are reasonably priced (around US$20), but they seem to be available only directly from NAD, who charge a ridiculous $20 to ship them! C'mon NAD, they weigh nothing and you could stick them in a small padded envelope and mail them USPS First Class for maybe $1.50 domestically.

As good or better than the original Nad pads.
My old ear pads were 3 years old and cracking and compressed, after taking a chance on these my NAD Viso 50 sound great bass, treble what a huge difference the thicker leather and foam is PERFECT!

Nice replacement ear pads
Original ear pads were pleather coated which started peeling off after several years. These say they are leather and I can't tell if they are or not at this point, but they installed easily and are nice replacements. Hopefully they will last longer than the OEM set.

Degrades audio quality
Bought these for a pair of NAD headphones that I love, but the earpad leather disintegrated. These fit well, but the headphones no longer give me the rich, present sound that they did with the originals. I do not know if it's due to the stiffness of the "leather" or the thickness of the foam. But here I am still searching for good replacements. Would be fine for my low-end Sony TV headphones, I guess. Wish I had kept the packaging.

Really good fit
The original VISO HP50 pads fell apart in just a year or two. These replacements are easy to install and quite good. They are just slightly rounder (in shape) than the originals, but I couldn't tell a difference in the sound. Very good.
