35/38 Bullet Puller Collet

Worked as it should. I pulled 200 heads without using a kinetic puller that has potential to break. For $17 I saved 4 boxes at approximately $22-25/box.

Came on time. Was exactly what I ordered.

Surprised how well they work. Little bit of a learning curve to avoid marking non-jacketed bullets, how hard to tighten varies. Massive time savings over impact pullers. 100% recovery of powder, case and primers unlike impact pullers where you lose about 5-10% of powder. Best guess these are about 10 times faster than impact pullers, maybe more. Thick plated bullets like Berry and jackets are not marred. Soft lead is tricky. Have not tried powder coated, but web reviews say they come out unscathed also. Only annoyance is how many collets you may need to buy for different calibers. At least they are only $10 each.

The collet came slightly bent from Amazon. Not sure if it had been dropped on one side or pressed excessively hard. Some gentle persuasion with a screwdriver and leaving it tightened in the collet puller for a couple days got all 4 arms of the collet even. Worked fantastic after that. Much much better than a hammer style puller. Seems to be machined well and looks to be durable when used as intended.

Why didn't I get one of these a l-o-n-g time ago? When I found that one of my 9mm Luger handloads was not cycling my pistol properly, the solution was obvious: More powder. However, what to do with the rest of the batch that didn't work properly. In the past, I had two options: (1) shoot them off, which basically wastes all those bullets, powder, and primers ... or (2) whack away with my hammer-style bullet puller, which dumps each shell's powder and bullet into a mess to separate out. In contrast, with this bullet puller collet, it was a simple manner to smoothly pull the bullets out ... no powder spill, no mess ... easy peasy. Then, reload with my jacked-up powder load, re-use the same bullets ... and, voilà, beautiful reloads that performed flawlessly. Every handloader should have this tool!

Need to have full diameter of bullet exposed. Was unable to use for round nose and truncated cone. Worked great for everything else.

Pulls 9mm, .38/.357, and .358 projectiles w/o leaving much of a mark, if any at all. I’ve always liked the simplicity of the RCBS collet system. Allows me to save components I’d otherwise have to toss. It will pay for itself eventually.

Need it one time and its worth its weight in gold.

Have a selection of calibers and they work great.

Strong bullet puller and a usual with RCBS the quality is good

Loaded a few with die incorrectly set, pulled them, resized, and good to go. Awesome product
