I have been using these ink cartridges for a couple of months on my HP printer and they have performed with no problems. The ink is solid with no smears and the colors are great.

Update: whoops! Operator error! There was a piece of tape I forgot to remove that was stopping the ink from coming out and printing! Updating to three stars as I still take two stars off for the first order not working at all and no tape involved! Original review: I ordered this product trying to save money, but I struggled to get my printer to recognize the cartridge. I followed the instructions and used the piece of rubber provided to clean the ports, but I still could not get the printer to recognize the cartridge after no less than a dozen attempts. I reached out to Amazon to return the product, but they offered to send me another product after first testing it to make sure it would be recognized. I received the second cartridge and was pleased when it was recognized on the first attempt. However there was no ink inside! My printer thinks it is full and does not tell me the cartridge is empty, but everytime I try to print using the black ink, NOTHING PRINTS! What a waste of time and money.

The Black Ink won't work in my printer. I keep getting an error message that the cartridge is not installed properly. It is installed properly. I took it out and put it back in several times. I've used new cartridges for years with absolutely no problems. I finally put the old, empty black one back in and it worked fine, though the ink was so low it didn't print dark enough. Now I need to get in the car, drive around town looking for a NEW black ink cartridge so I can print my critical documents before Business tomorrow. Oh, and just to add insult to injury, as I took this refurbished cartridge out and put it back in, it spattered black ink all over my brand new pants. I saved a couple bucks by buying refurbished...or did I? My advice to everyone...just buy new. It is far less expensive to just...buy....new!

I definitely didn’t think that it would work. I was able to purchase a color and black ink cartridge for less than the price of one namebrand. I made sure the Amazon had free returns and I made the purchase it came in under 12 hours. I just finished installed them into the printer. I took out the old one pulled the clip off the new one and paper tan. Did a test print they work perfectly. I haven’t purchased a color and cartridge for years because they’re so expensive now I have color and black for less than one black.

When I installed the color cartridge it worked great. I've printed maybe 50 pages and now it is streaking. I ran two cartridge cleaning cycles on my printer and it is still streaky. The test page shows that all the colors are doing this.
